I used to use crank, and believe me this movie is DEAD ON everything, from the way they act, talk, the events that happen, the way its all warped and "twitchy" hell yes. @502nikki actually, this is surprisingly close to an experience you'd have on amphetamine psychosis. Granted, people usually don't hit the point of psychosis the first few times unless they have a history of schizophrenia in the family.

The rule of thumb is: having schizophrenia in your genetics means you're naturally predisposed to set off that schizophrenia or have (what the DSM-IV would classify as) a psychotic break when taking hallucinogens, deliriants, or high doses of methamphetamine. The longer you're on these substances at a time, the more likely this will take place.

@TheFlaxenFox yeah thats part true, in real simple terms you can have schizophrenia at a genetic level. It lays kinda dormant in your brain (not literally) Then if you use any psychoactive drug it can activate it, but where your slightly wrong is that just because your parents had that schizophrenia gene doesn't mean you will, but you are offcourse more likley to inherit the gene. Also any long-term heavy use of drugs is likely to lead to psychosis without necessarily leading to schizophrenia

@TheFlaxenFox from my knowledge also, psychosis is just a detachment with reality caused by heavy drug use or extreme stress. Schizophrenia is an illness and one of the many symptoms is psychosis, psychosis can be present in many mental illnesses. Think of psychosis as the fever when you get influenza, like fever though you can get it in many DIFFERENT illnesses like malaria.

the movie is funny but theres that kinda underlying message about why you really shouldnt do this shit. this scene kinda takes that whole comedy perspective of the movie and turns it around and makes it feel very real and pretty scary. they are so messed up and they dont even realize it and it reminds me of people i know who do speed on a daily basis and it scares me to think of them in this position. jonas akerlund did an amazing job depicting the drug. watch his film try its his first film.
