  • Oh Britian what have you done?

  • seriously, its not meant to play it that quickly. i find it rather odd and uncomfortable with such a quick temple.

  • I love this song!

  • Hong Kong people love UK

  • It's seems HKP often perform this particular piece of music in a much faster rhythm than what it suppose to be.

  • 呢首歌其實係叫:高地大教堂 Highland Cathedral ,教堂只會係Church,Cathedral就一定會講有規模嘅大教堂

  • hongkong police should keep playing this and never change their band's style!!! such as the scotish dress and stuff,,,, this is hongkong's history!! this is what hongkong should be,,, no matter what country hongkong is being controlled by ... i love this style, we love this style, don't we? support my comment if you think the same !

  • Waterloo3, Ya, I remember the RHKP Pipes and Silvers Band performance in EMT in 1980s. That's so proud of them and I just was a little member of them at that time! I lost the chance to visit them at that years!

  • god bless all the people, may they always be loved by jesus and world

  • I most like british music.

  • @m913282

Highland cathedral, actually it is a song composed by two germans in 1982 during a highland game festival

  • It's hard to heard that music after 1997. I miss these pipes music so much!

  • wats the music in 00:13>>>

  • This was called "Highland Cathedral", and those are Great Highland Bagpipes.

  • Both bands of the Royal Hong Kong Police combine to play "Highland Cathedral". Too bad the sound quality is not better! Unusual arrangement of this oft played tune for band and pipes. I did not know if the Red Chinese allowed these bands to exist after the Handover of 1997.

  • pipe band today in the hong kong police force still exists in very small numbers.

british music was still retained in silver bands however, many much chinese army music was added into their inventory

  • Well, its good that these bands are still around in any form. Its ok if the brass band includes some Chinese stuff as long as they retain some of their traditions with British heritage. Hopefully the pipes & drums will continue. I recall seeing both of these bands put on colorful displays at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in the 1980s. All we can say from the West to you in HK is CARRY ON!

  • @waterloo3 Trust me, traditional Chinese tunes don't sound good on the pipes. There are things in the world that just aren't meant to be.

  • @sryaxiius what do you mean by "pipe band today in HKPF still exists in very small numbers"? The police here has always had one regular and one auxiliary pipe band even before the handover.

  • HK is a special admin region, they have their own laws

  • @waterloo3 why wouldn't they. As an instrument the bagpipes were originated in Asia, the Scots popularized them that's all.

  • uh interesting?
