The thing is about Thrice, is that they aren't a mainstream band, but yet they are well known. They are one of those bands that sounds AMAZING but don't get any airtime on radio stations or TV channels, but they are just like Iron Maiden in that aspect. They don't need media or corporations to become as big as they are, because they have the loyal fans =D
it does sound similar to other music, but around 2:30 it only sounds like Thrice, their musical sound is just more full and powerful than stuff that has a similar ring to parts of this song..
just glad they diddnt put out another album like The Alchemy Index..this is more like the Thrice I've grown to love
