According to the CDC 44% of gay men who had HIV/AIDS were not aware that they have it. Transmitting this disease is equal to attempted murder/manslaughter. Welfare to the poor hurts the poor, especially when it cost 10,000 dollars to give a poor person 100 dollars.

It's not recognizing it as holy, or as a source of divine truth, it's just recognizing the full title of the Book. There is no connection.

How about (Zakat): The Qur'an explicitly requires it and often places it alongside prayer & is required of every adult Muslim with sufficient means.
