Loved the original's ending, the last boss fight was more epic than the second one that seemed too westernised when I was expecting some bizare jelly Otaku style boss fight.

Regarding bizare jelly, loved the anime concept, but was dissapointed that they only had the opening song but not a real episode or at least 10 short episodes after each of the assassin fights would have been better.

@fedegon96 bland, in that the controls were sloppy, it was far too easy, and the crazy story was mostly just random smartassery adding up to nothing in particular (unlike in Killer7, which built up a relatively consistent world and seemed to maybe sort of mean something)

predictable, in that it only once or twice deviates significantly from the structure it establishes right away ($ grinding, linear stage, boss, repeat)

your "why are you here" comment is dead standard as well

The last scene takes place several years after Desperate Struggle. Jeane is Travis and Sylvia's daughter. Not long after she was born, Travis was murdered by Neo New Destroyman and consequently never knew what her father looked like before this scene.
