Fantastic. They should have finished this project! Instead of decades of bickering they could have been known as the futuristic architects of a new type of music.
i saw these discovery floyd albums at wal mart and got confused, so they are rereleasing another digitally remastered set of cds? how many times are they going to do this?
@pyromaniarules Every album will have a Discovery (bare-bones), Experience (album + bonus disc), and Immersion (huge boxed set) edition. Unfortunately, most of the Immersion boxes are a LOOONG way in the future; though we already know that The Wall, Piper and Saucerful will be out by next summer.
This is very interesting from a historical point of view but I can see why they did not release the Household Objects project back then. It would have been a commercial dud.
@hashpipeblueball Well, come on, that's tough to judge.... I mean, we've gotten two short, unfinished tracks, that's all. Plus possibly the third and last track they did, on a future boxed set. If this project had panned out, it might've been brilliant. I mean geez, the track they DID finish in the end was "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"!
This sounds excellent. I really hope the previously unreleased material in the Immersion/Experience sets gets released individually soon. I don't plan on getting any of the Discovery editions as I already have the 90s remasters (US pressings), including the DSOTM SACD and the 2004 version of The Final Cut. Some are saying these 2011 remasters aren't much of a difference in sound quality. So for now, I would just love to snatch up jewels like this, individually. =)

This song is called "The hard way", isn't it?
Well, i'd rather call it "The easy way to reach an orgasm". Let me call it that way, please!
