Simple misdirection, if you know the basic ideas of magic (misdirection, slight of hand, etc...) this isn't amazing at all. Most magic tricks are mind-blowingly simple once you realize how it's done. There are ones that happen and you're like "whoa! how the hell did he do that?" for example: guy gets into a box and it's hoisted 100ft in the air, box explodes and he's not there, he's on top of the crane and nothing masked your view before or after. Stuff like that blows my mind.

he knocks the head off purposely and then places the sign over the front of the box so we cant see where the head would go, at the same time when everyone is looking at him retrieve the head he then stands in front of as he pretends to put the head back on while blocking our view of the midget replacing the mannequin. It's a pretty simple trick

If you look closely at 1:20 when the head goes off, you can see a little bit of a human face in the dark. Also at 1:17 you can see another shoe behind him, in the left side.
