Actually, the Titan is not a boss. The Titan was a standard monster that you would run into all over the place like any other creature. The genius of this game is that you had to fight a standard monster to get the prism. You would never have expected the mundane Titan to have something like the prism in his treasure chest. I ran from the Titan the first couple times--like I usually would run from any boring monster--and it took me forever to figure out this dead end was where the prism was
@onedollarphilistine It still basically functions as a boss fight though. It probably would have been better if they had used an enemy that doesn't normally appear until later like some other games do.
Yeah, the bosses had low hit points, but still, back in the day, it seemed they had a lot - especially if you take into account the ridiculous amount of HP on bosses now. When I was an 8th grader playing this game, I did more running than fighting, thus making boss fights more difficult. I had yet to learn the strategies of the genre yet. Actually, Phantasy Star was the first - and still one of my favorites. Few games can hold a torch to PH 1 and 2.
Yeah the whole max health cap of 250 was a bit ridiculas as once you hit 23/24 it only takes a few turns kill even the biggest foes in this game they should of done for the other later bosses what they did for Dark Force/Dark Falz and treated them like a group of enemys as Dark Falz has two sets of 250 HP hence why it was hidden because he was techincally a group of two same type monsters.
where abouts is that? I'm here to find out where to use the ice digger but I know a few places that look like that.
