  • Who is the Bozo-Jon Anderson-wanna-be with the pink baton in his hand? Jon is in near perfect form, bring Jon back so Yes does not continue to be a parody of itself.

  • 3:44 Trevor forgets the chords, and the song goes off the rails and in a completely different key. What the hell dude? You wrote the damn song.

  • @Mineav He didn't write the extended section that the band goes into towards the end.

  • @Mineav Maybe he didn't play it for so long..shit happens dude.

  • I went to the Greek to see Frampton, but I enjoyed Yes even better that night.

  • @mcsew2k It's good to see someone actually being positive about this show! lol...People are soooo negative, it's ridiculous. Thanks for the happy comment, though!

  • @JimSVoit I second that emotion! So wonderful to see Trevor kickin' it with Yes on the amazing song he wrote & lighting up the stage!

  • excellent !!! amazing ..!! malgré le temps passé ...!! ils chantent comme toujours comme dans leurs jeunesse ...!!

  • Howe and Rabin sharing the same stage was always...a challenge, but these two professionals think of the audience first, and give their best.

Yes has become their own "tribute band", with Benoit and Oliver; not that they aren't talented, but Yes is about a "dynamic", one which happens with the Anderson, Howe & Squire trinity...Even Rabin's 13 years with the band gave a different dynamic, but it still worked. Sorry...can't overlook Alan's contribution, which is huge.

  • Howe is a TURD

  • Este vídeo mostra bem o quanto Trevor Rabin está anos-luz à frente de Steve Howe no quesito Guitarrista! Enquanto Rabin sempre "tirou" todas as notas de Howe, e ainda criou algo genial em cima... Howe sequer tirou o solo de Owner Of A Lonely Heart! E em várias oportunidades ainda criticou o parceiro acusando-o de 'simplificar' os arranjos dele... Putz! Quem "simplifica" os arranjos de quem aí???

  • Next to Howe, Rabin is pitiful; YES, make up with Jon and bring him back.

  • COWBELL!

  • So wonderful to see Trevor just making that guitar sing again!..Nice that he sat in for this guest performance and the song and Yes, and of course Trevor all sound spectacular! :D

  • I love Yes, but anyone who thinks Yes w/out Jon is as good or better needs their ears checked. Yes, I admit Jon doesn't sound as great as he once did, but he doesn't sound worse than Benoit. Jon is 66 yrs old and has had health problems. Voice might be affected a little. No, I don't blame the rest of the band for moving on as they did on the Drama album. Which wasn't as good as any other album with Jon. It's never the same when a band replaces the original...

  • @chazman74 Grow up!!!!!!!!!!!

  • uuugh!!! i wanted to see this so badly but we couldn't afford it! i'm 13 so maybe I ca see them next time

  • excellent guitar solo by rabin! nice!

  • Trevor sounds phenomenal & amazing! SO happy to see him back if only for this on HIS song! Thanks for sharing this!

  • I have dreamed of the day Trevor would show up and play with some version of the band....However this is not what I had in mind. The amazing musical journey started so long ago, can not end like this. This singer is better fitted to dance around some funnel cake stand.

  • @joeymacification

    Benoit destroyed TREVOR'S song!!!!

    Yes fans.........

Jon, Rick and Trevor are talking about doing something together..

    Recording, or Touring or BOTH!!!!

Jon said in an interview in Aug., that He and Trevor have spoken about doing shows in 2011!!!!

    HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait for a real YES, with JON and TREVOR!!!

  • Talk about off key singing.Way too many key mistakes for my liking...typical of cover band vocalists.Outside of that,it flowed pretty well..only a tad bit slower than the album.Trevor looked like he was having a good time.Hopefully this is a sign he wants to get back to making music..either be it solo or with some form of Yes..Loved Can't Look Away

  • @superssjdan1 But they're making a load of money, and you're sitting at your comp bitching, go out and see if you can do better.

  • @superssjdan1 Bro, good news for ya, Trevor will have a new solo album in a few months and he's going back to Yes...what can you ask better!!!

  • @stevezane

That sounds great.HOpe it pans out.I really like the potential of the trevor and rick dynamic.Return to the center of the Earth and the union tour had some great flashes. Finally something to look forward to.I also somehow doubt a yes album with Benoit will ever see the light of day..nor should it see the light of day.The band would lose a ton of money putting it out there. For every one blind Yes fan that buys everything they do,i can give you 10 will never ever buy that cd.

  • I think they sound great... In the end, Yes is all about the music.

  • Yes is the ultimate "come as you are " band. this is how they are, and it is pretty darn great....and good the see Trever.

  • Once they enter the studio with David, only then this line up would get some respect. At this moment, I think what they're doing here is kind of silly. I haven't see them with this new singer. Not until he contributes to the Yes' catalog. My opinion... Looking forward for the Anderson / Wakeman Project tour.

  • Oh my, a Hobbit.

  • Well, it was good to see Rabin playing again, but the second half of this rendition absolutely sucks. What a shame to ruin such a great song.

  • Sorry but this lead singer is just HORRIBLE. I understand he's got huge shoes to fill but he just doesn't do it for me. Just can't get used to some else singing. Can't wait to see Jon on 9/1/10

  • Sorry but this lead singer is just HORRIBLE. I understand he's got huge shoes to fill but he just doesn't do it for me. Just can't get used to some else singing. Can't wait to see Jon on 9/1/10

  • Rick called this Line-up (even with his son on keys, the gig that he got for him),

......" a Tawdry Tribute Band". So even Yes Members think this is a Joke!!

  • Sorry guys, I was not impressed (Accept with Rabin) I hope he recognises how awful this sounds. David does not have the heart and soul required to perform this once outstanding piece of work from Trevor Rabin who I have to believe went home that night with a sour taste in his heart. I just wish Trevor would pull the guys back together for one final tour and send Howe and Benoit home and give Jon a call!!! Howe needs a big break from trying to be ASIA and YES on the same tour. Benoit David..OUT!

  • @stolendolin

I AGREE 100%. TREVOR HAD TO BE THINKING "WHAT AM I DOING HERE!"

HE AND CHRIS ARE GREAT FRIENDS, BUT BENOIT DESTROYED TREVORS SONG!! STEVE WILL NOT ALLOW TREVOR TO DO HIS THING WITH 'THIS BAND",

BUT JON, RICK AND TREVOR AND A 4TH EX-YES MAN COULD COME TOGETHER SOON AND BRING BACK THE MAGIC THAT WE ALL LOVE.

I HAVE SEEN YES 11 TIMES,(ONCE WITH THIS CIRCUS), AND I MISSED JON.

WITH THIS LINE-UP, 'THE MAGIC IS GONE!"

  • @stolendolin Its funny how people are trashing Benoit when its Trevor that fucked up most of the song by not remembering the guitar chords especially in the second rendition...Keep in mind that I'm a Trevor fan,but he messed up big time.Just check the end and see.

  • You Know what... David got no real stage presence...but he can sing and he does'nt sound bad on this... he's covering a legend doing a legend's material. Jon said 'he doesn't see another reason for a Yes album... well fuck him! Long live Chris, Alan and Steve...Magnigication was an interesting album... very well done... I say ...new album, new material and if they want to keep David... then let him write and sing on it...may give him more credibility!

  • @Lewis1key

MAYBE THE REASON THAT JON DID NOT WANT TO MAKE ANOTHER YES ALBUM, WAS THAT HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH ANY MATERIAL. JON HAS TONS OF MUSIC THAT HE HAD MADE W/OTHERS, AND YES... THE OTHER GUYS WANTED TO MAKE AN ALBUM SINCE 2005, THIS LINE-UP HAS BEEN TOGETHER NEARLY 2 YEARS NOW, WHY NO NEW YES ALBUM ALREADY.

I HEARD THE NEW YES SONG AT HOB IN 08, "ALIENS", NOT YES MUSIC!!

THEY DONT EVEN PLAY IT LIVE ANYMORE.

JON AND RICK WILL HAVE AN ALBUM OUT THIS YEAR. THATS YES MUSIC!!

  • @RICHARDTRICHMOND You dot it wrong bro..Jon has some health problems, but the good news is that he is coming back to Yes and with Trevor.

  • @stevezane

Doubt Trevor will Join Yes with steve howe!! The oct. issue of classic rock, prog.., has interviews with trev, jon, rick, chris, benoit, and others an no-one said anything like this, actually Jon has said he has moved on!! Jon and Rick are touring and have an album "THE LIVING TREE", and yes have already started recording their album with trevor horn producing and performing...Where does Jon or Trevor fit into this????

If you have info on this?

    ABWHSOLUTIONS@yahoo.com

  • @I'll send the latest interview with Trevor rabin..Yes he is going back with Yes and John will be the singer. They already started writing material.

  • This mix sucks. I can't even hear Trevor's vocals. But thanks for posting the video.

  • Rabin and David go well together. They should start a YES cover band.

  • @scgcom ??? I don't this one...Trevor doing yes covers???wtf? He wrote that song.

  • give it up guys. dont ruin your well deserved reputation by playing in small concert halls and having a jon anderson wannabe as your lead singer. this makes me cringe. nice to see trevor though, the guy should have more recognition.

  • Love how in the middle the camera zooms to leave steve out of the picture...

Trevor looks to be having a ball. Could see Yes mark IV with Trevor stepping in to replace Jon, instead of Benoit, if there's going to be no Jon. Imagine THAT 2-guitar R&R version of Yes? If Trevor wrote a new album and hired the remaining Yes guys as a backup band, THAT is a tour I would pay for!

  • @jbabc0ck

I would like to see that too. I would like to see the Union Line-up actually.

I hear that Jon, Trevor and Rick Wakeman are working on some stuff.

Does anyone have any more info on this, or if Trevor would join this line-up.

  • Would love to see Trevor back full time. Anyone at this concert know anymore details if this could happen?

I would like to see the 90125 line-up again. This the only song that you hear from that era, Love to hear City of Love, Changes, Hearts, and Shoot High-Aim Low..

    Come back soon Jon.

  • @MrYes1991 well its your lucky day because Trevor is coming back with Yes..he also will have a solo album in the stores in a few month from now.

  • This guy is one awful singer...they should just drop this song as he does it so badly.

  • @yesiammark What the hell is wrong with you people? It was an amazing show! He sings wonderful!

  • Great to see Trevor playing with the band. The singer is awful however. Pretty sad. Jon Anderson is touring on his own, and also doing 20 shows in about 30 days in England with Rick Wakeman. And Yes prostitutes itself with a cover band lounge singer who cannot come close to filling the shoes of Jon Anderson. Sad.

  • ...supposedly made during the guitar solo was? All of the guys stumbled for a millisecond there, where the chorus modulated (gee, a mistake... Roll Eyes!). Excellent show.

  • I'd like to know where the BIG mistake Trev supposed

  • What ab fine show this was, the boys were in the pocket!

  • So great to see Rabin back on stage!

  • UMM......NO!!

  • @RICHARDTRICHMOND

Good, but after seeing this.. It should be Oh Nooooooooo!!!!!

  • It was a fun evening at the Greek. Thanks for posting. (That's my bald head in the front row between Chris and Benoit! White shirt.) At 3:45, the song goes into its final jam session, and there's a key change that still doesn't sound right to me, no matter how often I watch this. I love how Howe steps up with his lead at the end. Squire and Rabin are really close, 15 years after TR left Yes. That's nice.

  • I respect the feelings of many Yes fans here - and for the sake of nostalgia - it could be nice to see Jon...but I feel Benoit David does a fine job here...and (while my intention is not to further upset fans here) I even thought Geoff Downes did fine on the Drama album...

  • Comment removed

  • Guys.. after seeing this, look for 'marciopdelgado' - Jon Anderson performing Owner of a lonely heart alone on stage. Awesome.. Everything becomes clear again..

  • As an all time YES fan I can't get over the dent in the car that hasn't been fixed. Yes - without Jon - is soooo disappointing! Daaahhhh! You can even tell by the people watching... they can't believe how bloody awful it actually is... Nope. This dark episode in YES history is going on far too long if you ask me. Aster

  • @moneysecrets4U As a long time Yes fan myself I could not agree with you more. Jon gets sick can't tour... Jon gets better the band goes on tour without him and gives Jon the middle finger

  • Anderson has more or less retired, I don't agree with calling it Yes but these days it does'nt really matter. I see they are playing 2,000 seaters these days compared with when nderson and Rick Wakeman were in the band in 2004, guess the fans are voting with their feet. Vocalist is a good cover for Anderson but not for me.

  • @tet1963 Nah bro, Jon didn't retired...he has health problems, but he is coming back and with Trevor...the line up will be : Jon,Trevor , Chris , Rick , Allen

  • Perpetual Change is a Yes song but it is also the story of Yes music and the people who play it and love it. The musicians come and go but the music will remain forever!

  • Singer's sucks no where close to Jon Anderson. Very disappointed with Yes.

  • *sigh* It's alright, I guess. Great to see Trevor again, and he sounds marvelous as always... but Benoit? No cowbell, Benoit. No cowbell. This is not an SNL skit starring Christopher Walken.

  • WOW, this completely sucks!!!! I see the free will and HEAR IT! it's hurting my ears.

  • I'd wish Trevor R. remained along Howe. I really MISS JON and WAKEMAN. Long live YES ¡¡ -- QUE SE QUEDARA TREVOR RABIN ¡

  • Comment removed

  • Screw the classic lineup! The best Yes albums had new blood. CTFE (Howe was relatively new), Relayer, Drama, 90125, and The Ladder. Yes, those are my favorites! The band has always stagnated, then needed new players to come in. I say, let them. This Benoit guy is ok, but he's not a front man! Even Trevor Horn was a front man.

  • If you attended the concert you would realize that YES is playing superbly, the vocals and harmonies are outstanding. YouTube videos seldom do justice for YES. It is clear that Jon Anderson is UNABLE to tour at this time. He recently admitted it. I am glad that YES is moving on. We can still hope for a re-union w/Jon at some point, but it won't be soon. Until then, we still have the privilege of seeing Howe, Squire and White perform the great music of YES. Go see a show to see for yourself

  • oh god this is bad

  • Comment removed

  • what a sad situation. It is really sad see current YES band. I really dont understand why are they playing so bad. They were real heros just 5 years ago. I saw perfomances in the soundcheck of unppluged show : excelent. But now, Chris is not singing well, the band has not the power, this song is quite slow speed. Only Trevor could save it .....until minute 3:46. Frankly speaking, I never thought I was going to see something like this in YES. What a HUGE mistake!! Aboslutelly unacceptable.

  • YES for YES - great show for me that night......at least they are alive and kickin' could be worse - they are trying .. watch the 'ROUNDABOUT' video here.

  • @jandbprod

Thanks for posting. I happy for you that it was a great show for you.

    Your comment "They are Trying",

    Yes does not Try!!

    Yes is Yes.

    Yes is a Organization!!!

They should not have to Try!!

  • Seems like anything they can do now is retrospective, given the difficulty of bringing the "classic Yes lineup" together. Now, if they could just get Peter Banks to perform with them, that would be something to see!

  • Comment removed

  • I have been a Yes fan for 40 years and I have to say this very sad to see. It was nice that they were able to do some Drama songs with this substitute singer but to still continue on as Yes without Jon Anderson is disappointing. Do these guys really need the money that bad or are they thinking keep the Yes name out there at all costs because the fans will forget about us. Anyone who supports this is most likely a young person curious to see Yes. Any true Yes fan should wait for Jon's return.

  • So you have been a fan for 40 years...if your age on your profile is correct you got into YES aged 3 !!!

I have been a YES fan since 1968.......yes 1968! and I think its great that the band are still out there performing with or without Jon. Get over it...... if Jon is fit to return great , but this group have never been about an individual it has always been a collective of musical ideas pushed to the limits!

True Yes fans will understand and move forward ! Roll on the new CD can't wait

  • @razzlemusicyes..You said.. "always been a collective of musical ideas pushed to the limits!"...LOL They have not had a new album since 2001.

  • @jerrykjr67 .....so what's your point? my comment was highlighting yes music over the years.....I would also like to point out to you that since the last album and up until 2008 Jon was still in Yes, but due to his fall where he damaged his back and his current poor health has prevented Yes from producing and more importatly touring a new album. Also Since the last album all of the key members of the band have released new material and have been actively touring and promoting new material.

  • @razzlemusicyes My point was Yes as a group. NOT the members of the band releasing new material (which some of them I do own). When Jon was ready to come back the band chose to continue touring without him.

  • @jerrykjr67 I hear what your saying but you must see it from the point of view of the other band members. Due to Jon's problems all the plans set out in late 2002 were put on the back burner, the band waited six years before making a change to the line up hoping Jon would be fit to make a comeback. He was only replaced when it became clear that he could not fullfil the comeback tour in 2008. I would love to see a fully fit jon back but why knock the band members for trying to keep yes going !

  • @razzlemusicyes Agreed. I'd still like to see this lineup than none at all. Here's hoping Jon makes it back soon!

  • @razzlemusicyes 'Replaced'? They didn't even tell him!

  • How come Steve didn't hug Trevor. Trevor knows better not to step on Steve's oriental rug.

  • When Yes came in Paris, i decided not to go. I’m not interested in a cover band, even if it is a deluxe one, with Steve my favorite guitarist of all times, Chris and Allan.

What’s the point to see this guy acting this ridiculous, singing in a so lesser way the same old songs ? But Drama was a very good album and the Rabin era has his high spots too. So, why don’t let them take a chance with this new line-up ? Maybe David can be good if not doing a very bad impersonation of the unique Anderson.

  • Great to see trevor back on stage. but they should bin steve and david , and bring in Billy Sherwood, and neal morse, Oh, and Trevor Rabin.

  • @TheJimmyBoy87

    BRING BACK BILLY!!!!

LOVE BILLYS MUSIC. JUST GOT THE FIRST WORLD TRADE ALBUM.., LOVE ALL OF BILLYS SOLO STUFF,

EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET ON THE "CIRCA", "YOSO", AND BILLY SHERWOOD BANDWAGON.

WE NEED THIS PROG. MUSIC IN TODAYS MUSIC WORLD.

  • This is not Yes. No one has been a more die hard fan than I, for more than 37 years now. I have seen virtually every tour and no one can compare with the great Jon Anderson. I know they envisioned Yes going on forever, with various musicians filling the spots, but I think they are making people forget their sheer and incredible greatness in the past. There will NEVER be another band like Yes in their prime. After seeing this tour, instead of my usual post concert elation, I felt sadness.

  • @Relayergroup I think that you are right regarding the Jon is the soul of the band, nevertheless I don't mind this new line up, and I have growth very fond of Benoit and David...and these recents tours have been very interesting. They have played some Drama songs, and I see a Steve Howe more rocky than the previous last years. Of course it is my humble opinion. Greetings from a Yes fan to another !

  • Why would Yes do this???? Do they need the money that freakin bad??? I've seen Yes 17 times, Trevor Horn is better then this clown singing. The 1st time I saw them was in 1972, The Close to the Edge Tour. I've seen these guys in there prime. There was nobody like them. I even like the 35th anniversary tour. Jon Anderson,Rick Wakeman,Steve Howe,Chris Squire and Allen White. THAT'S FREAKIN YES~!!!!

  • Sad.

  • This is horrible. Almost makes me cry. I lost faith in Yes years ago. I saw an interview with Benoit a couple of years ago, and he said that Loverboy was the band that really inspired him to start singing. What? I had hope when I saw one of the Masterworks shows back in 2000. One of the best shows I've ever seen..

  • @wystan73....

...."LOVERBOY WAS THE BAND THAT MADE ME WANT TO BECOME A SINGER, I THINK NOW I WILL TAKE OVER THE BAND THAT JON ANDERSON MADE, I'M SURE I COULD DO AS GOOD OF A JOB AS HIM, HEY I SOUND JUST LIKE HIM, SO THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM"....

YOUR RIGHT MY FELLOW "YES" FAN...

    IT IS HORRIBLE AND SADDDDDD.

THE TRIBUTE BAND "MYSTERY", , THEY ARE YES FANS. SOME ON TOLD BENOIT THAT HE SOUNDED LIKE JON, AND THATS HOW IT HAPPENED, HE IS NOT EVEN A FAN OF THE MUSIC.

    ITS A CIRCUS!!!

  • Steve, Alan, Chris are still amazing musicians. Trevor as well. Oliver isn't his dad or a Jordan Rudess, but he knows his way around the boards. As for David, well he has allowed the band to still be out there performing. This sounds more or less like what Mabel Greer's Toyshop would have come to. It isn't the Yes we all love. I don't know if the fab five (Rick, Jon, Chris, Alan and Steve) can reconcile, but if they can they owe it to the die hard fans to give us one more time to say "yes."

  • Trevor je bent geweldig !!

  • i was here that night everybody quit pickin on the new the band sounds great actually there ok it sounded good i enjoyed it very much. but i like early yes rather than 80's. but this was the only 80's song they played that night so it was really great, good show i love yes

  • Comment removed

  • ONE MORE THOUGHT AND I WILL STOP,..

WHAT DO YOU THINK WAS GOING THROUGH TREVORS MIND WHEN HE HEARD THIS CLOWN DESTROY HIS SONG????!!!!

THE HUNDREDS OF TIMES HE AND JON STOOD BESIDE TOGETHER AND PERFORMED THIS "ONLY #1 HIT".

HE HAD TO THINKING, I REALLY HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE I LOOSE MY MIND AND VOICE.

BENIOT EVEN HAS THE NERVE TO USE JONS LITTLE EXTRA BEFORE THE GTR SOLO, GET YOUR OWN.

3RD POST, ITS WORSE EVERYTIME I HERE IT.

    GET WELL JON!!!!!!!!!!!

  • JUST FYI

JON, RICK, ARE WORKING, RECORDING AND TOURING THE UK THIS SUMMER AND FALL.

RICK AND TREVOR HAVE SPOKEN ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER AGAIN.

JON AND TREVOR HAVE WROTE SOME MATERIAL, 2006,.

RICK, JON, TREVOR, AND A 4TH UNKNOWN FORMER YESMAN ARE PLANING SOME SORT OF PROJECT. 90% SURE IN 2010, DEPENDING ON TREVORS SCHEDULE.

    WHY DO I MENTION THIS..

HOW MANY OF US WOULD LOVE TO SEE THESE 3 TRUE YES MEN INSTEAD OF THIS.

THIS VERSION IS A SAD COPY OF A GREAT ORGANIZATION!!!

  • @RICHARDTRICHMOND another Yes schism like the one in the 80's: abwh vs Yes??...sounds interesting

  • @trekie01

A NEW YES WOULD BE GREAT.

NEW MUSIC. IM SURE THAT RICK AND JON HAVE WRITTEN ALOT OF MUSIC, AND THE ADDITION OF TREVOR AND THE 4TH EX- YES MAN WOULD MAKE IT "YES MUSIC". JUST LIKE ABWH WAS YES MUSIC.

NO ONE KNOWS WHO THE 4TH MAN IS. WORD IS IT IS BILL, BUT HE HAS SAID NO OVER AND OVER. ITS NOT BILLY, OR TONY, THEY SAID NO.

CAN'T BE ANOTHER KEYBOARD PLAYER, MAYBE PETER BANKS WOULD PLAY BASS??

4 YESMEN INSTEAD OF THIS CIRCUS.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

  • SO MANY THOUGHTS COME TO MIND, BUT FIRST... I AGREE WITH MOST OF YOU THIS IS SO SO SO SADDDD!

SAW THIS CIRCUS IN DEC. 2008, ONE OF THE FIRST SHOWS, BENOIT SOUNDED ALOT BETTER, HUM MAYBE HE IS NOT A GOOD "REPLACEMENT" FOR MR. ANDERSON.

THEY SOUND...WELL............VERY BAD, LIKE A BAD TRIBUTE BAND...HEY THEIR FRONT MAN IS A TRIBUTE SINGER, NOT EVEN A YES FAN.

GREAT TO SEE "THE TREVOR RABIN" THOUGH.

HOPE THAT TREVOR, RICK AND JON GO THROUGH WITH THEIR PROJECT.

    WE NEED A REAL YES!!!!!

  • @RICHARDTRICHMOND Trevor is not a real YES!!!!!

  • @timbozna

IF NOT FOR TREVOR RABIN, AND 90125

THERE WOULD NOT BE A YES, OR WHAT PASSES AS YES, TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES WAS DEAD, JON WAS GONE, HEY STEVE WAS GONE, RICK WAS GONE...

TREVOR BROUGHT THE BAND INTO THE 80S. AND WORKED WITH THE BAND FOR 14 YEARS.

"TREVOR, NOT REAL YES"??, IS BENIOT OR OLIVER "REAL YES"??

EVEN IF MOST DO NOT LIKE IT,

IF NOT FOR TREVOR, 1983, 90125. , THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RICHARDTRICHMOND No Yes without Trevor? The Trevor Rabin era had some great music but was not really Yes. Most of those fans who were buying those albums are long gone and don't care about Yes today. It's the Yes of the 70's that really represents the dedicated Yes fan and they will of always been there even if there was no Cinema band with Trevor Rabin.

  • @timbozna If Trevor is not a real yes member as you say i guess that would make Steve Howe not a real yes member as well...He is not the original guitar player so what is your ignorant point?

  • I don't understand why some people complain that YES is touring only for the money. The band members are in their sixties. They are playing concert halls that only have seats in the 1500 - 2500 range. The tickets seem to be about half the price of what the ones with Jon (who I miss dearly) cost. Maybe they are making some money, but it can't be that much. And with the age of the band members its got to take a lot out of them. I like to think that members such as Steve Howe like to play live.

  • @pschroeter1 agree

  • A fucking disgrace. On my birthday as well, bastards

  • Do they ever listen back the recording ? The singer is singing so awfull out of tune that it hurts my ears. Please stop this non -show and retire. Or surch for a singer that can really sing the yes song.

  • Comment removed

  • Backstabbing money grubbers! It would be one thing if Jon just didn't want to tour, but he was ill and they betrayed him. Chris Squire, you are no longer on my hero list!

  • It is not The guys fault if they want to tour and Jon is unable to! The guys want to play period. In a short time some of them will notr be around anymore so consider it a treat to see Steve and Chris and Alan!!

  • I feel ripped off! Saw them in Clearwater. Great show, but i LOVE '80s Yes. Love Trevor Rabin!!

  • Comment removed

  • Great version with Trevor Rabin sitting in. He won't be at Santa Rosa tonight but we will get to see and hear the cowbell. The SNL skit ruined cowbells for me. Every time I hear one I hear Christopher Walken in my head.

  • I love the way Steve just steps in with that lead and shows them all how it's done!!!

  • @Lewis1key What???? What video were you watching? The only thing Steve did was to try and strum along and stay out of the way. Thank God he did that!

  • @Arthriticprince What are you talking about! Steve gives Rabin plenty of room to shine. That's the professional he is. It's Rabin's song, Rabin's moment, Rabin's lead and Steve stays out of the way. Then at 4:17, Steve starts the final jam...

sets it up, lets Rabin come back in and then proceeds to take it back over the top, giving Rabin room to jam with him... that's what a professional musician does like Steve Howe does and makes it look it easy all at the same time!

  • You People are clueless and uninformed!!!! I dont know why I bother to read such BS. Bring back Jon---what part of TOO ILL TO TOUR WITH YES DONT YOU GET!!!? Research before you comment--you make your self look real dumb! LOL

  • I saw the performance in Cincinnati/Blue Ash on July 4th. This incarnation of Yes may not bring any new music but they put on a very credible show as they play showing great love and respect for the music. Yes music is incredible and has shown to get better with age. One can not blame Squier and Co. to wanting to continue the show. Also, many great bands have changed their members over time and still come across as genuine : Deep Purple and King Crimson come to mind...

  • F' David, F' Rabin!!! Bring back JON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring back the YESSONGS years when YES played with so much energy, so much conviction, so much love.

If Rick Wakeman wants to keep drinking his beer and not be part of YES, so much for him, too!!!

Moraz, Downes, Khoroshev, even freaking Brislin would kick Rick Wakeman's ass anytime, anywhere.

(By the way, who is Oliver?)

All I know is that if JON is not in again Howe and Co. can go f' themselves!!!

  • what's with the bashing? yes, i'd rather have jon there on stage singing instead of his clone. but for those who did not see YES on the last few tours with anderson, he was really messing up his lyrics. plus anderson has stated that he doesn't see much point in recording another YES album. considering the facts, i don't blame squire for carring on as a cover-band. i saw them in cinci and the performance was great!

  • Moreover...when Downes and Horn came in on Drama, they were not trying to sound like Anderson and Wakeman. They had their own voices. Yes, Horn had to have a high voice in order to sign earlier material, but he had a completely different quality than Jon Anderson. And Downes had his own unique style. Thus, Drama is one of the band's most dynamic and surprising albums. Go listen again. If Squire et al want to move forward they need to let Benoit David sing as himself. Let's see if he can.

  • The is so sad.

The band has no balls anymore, no bite. There's no bite to the groove, and no bite to the beauty. Benoit David has no stage presence...worth watching at least. This is a cover band! Look for Steve Howe to toss it in soon.

  • So souless !! Quite boring ! And I am an admirer of YES !!

  • @tullewoman You must be deaf, man. Try listening to this on headphones. You'll get true sound of the video. It sounds great.

  • TREVOR RABIN!!! Bring him back for good! and Jon! ... and Rick! ... :)

  • @douglasdg1999 and Bill and Tony!

  • @douglasdg1999

    AND MR. BILLY SHERWOOD!

  • I like Benoit. He's an amazing singer who often sounds even smoother than Jon, moves very gracefully, and keeps the compositions alive in live performance. Hell, there are tribute bands I would RATHER see (i.e. The Musical Box) than the original band reformed (Genesis). I don't think anyone is doing anything but good in keeping this repertoire alive. The only thing I wish is that they had the courage to do something really gutsy like play all TALES or just "The Ancient" or "The Remembering"

  • @SoulQuest7 I agree, man. They sound amazing. I'm listening to this on headphones and they all sound amazing!!! I hate how people are saying that they don't play with any feeling anymore! It's ridiculous.

  • 3 things:

    1. There is n f-up from Trevor at 4:09. He keeps looking at the sound guy and then looks down to fix his pedal board. A sound issue is has nothing to do with the performer. HELLO?

    2. Benoit is out of his league. I am happy that he is living out his dream but it's our nightmare. Jesus,he moves like a Vegas lounge singer. Has this guy ever watch ed himself on video?

3, Squire and co have turned this into a bad tribute band. There is no magic in this band without Anderson. He is Yes.

  • @GeorgeVCT I completely disagree with the fact that you think "there is no magic in this band without Jon. He is Yes." I just saw them on June 30th....13 days ago. They absolutely still have the magic! They played with such a genuine feeling....I can still hear it here. Just try listening closer. Benoit does a fine job, too...he may not have the greatest stage presence...but who cares. Just close your eyes and listen if it bothers you so much. Yes still has the magic. I promise you.

  • I do not think Steve and Chris are "Guilty" of anything for deciding to tour the way they did. They are in their 60's...each day counts at this stage. Chris lives for performing in front of a faithful crowd. They selected a Perfect stand-in for Jon...and I like Benoit David's energy and youthful voice. He is a good performer who gets to live his dream... no, SHARE his dream on stage at each show. I love Jon. But I disagree with the spiteful statements toward Chris and Steve. J.M.

  • @frembling Yea...these people are so cruel. I feel bad for saying "Trevor fucked this performance up!!!" earlier. I should have worded in a nicer way. I just think that he didn't know the right note to play during the key change at 3:44. Look at any other video of this song with Steve playing...he never messed up before. Oh well...Trevor still sounds good and so does the rest of the band....in OUR opinions :)

  • The Trevor fucking up, not the David, I actually like him. He's got a good voice that fits the Yes sound.

  • That hurt my soul.

  • Wow! Interesting to hear all the comments. Just for GP(general purposes lol), There is only 1 Jon Anderson--Everybody knows that!! It's a given-his voice-his presense, in Yes is a Huge part of Yes Music. He is too ill to tour , it would be too much for him. Research it before assuming! Saw him solo in May!! Yes fans--True Yes fans appreciate each and every member of the band!! Each has their own gift. I treasure the fact that they still tour!!! Thanks Benoit for your interpretation of Yes.

  • Oh well, who cares at this pont who messed what up.. where's Jon? I think to make things really interesting, they could have a raffle each night for a lead singer. Proceeds go to saving whales.

  • Rabin sucks.

  • Rabin performs so rarely in public these days that a sighting is always treat. After two years Benoit's vocals on this track remain a train wreck, understandable I guess since his tribute band work didn't extend to YesWest, but you can hear him straining at the limits of his Anderson impersonation and that is a big problem with this version of the band. Barring the return of Jon I'd rather they ditch Benoit and get Rabin back full time: Cinema II: Electric Boogaloo.

  • @ChrisHosford Trevor's making a great living doing film soundtracks. He's not interested in touring and repeating himself onstage every night for the sake of a paycheck like the rest of them. Jon is essential to the very existence of YES. Sorry, guys, it's over.

  • @colininla hum...lo you got it all wrong..Trevor has a new solo album coming out in a few months and will make new material with Yes starting in 2011...i wish people would stop telling things they know nothing about.

  • @stevezane What exactly have I got "all wrong?" "New material with Yes?" source please. . .

  • @colininla A new solo album and a tour with Yes..I saw in a interview that he got back with Yes..they will record new material and tour.

  • @colininla

Truth is ,....Trevor is not going back to yes.

Oct. issue of Prog., has a blurb about Trevor has rejoined yes.....only for one show though!!

Truth is.... Trevor has finished his blues/jazz album and is ready to release it.

Trevor, Rick and Jon will hopefully be doing something together in 2011.

Page 2 of this....arwiess100....Is actually Arlene Weiss of GTR INTR. Mag.

She did an interview with TREVOR in oct, And he Stated that JON, RICK, and Himself are itching to do it.

  • Cool seeing Trevor! Not cool seeing what use to be, one of my favorite bands, deteriorate like this right before my eyes. How sad!
