i had a friend called lawrence mogishu who was one of thousands that fled rwanda through uganda after his whole family was murdered by hutu militia. he came to london as a refuge and tried to apply for asylum. from 2000 to 2004. i havent seen him since nov 2003. i heard he was deported back to rwanda. till this day i dont know weather he is alive or dead. all i know is that he managed to locate his sister who he found out was alive. i only hope and pray he is alive and well.

The movie was ok! Situation in Rwanda was like that by the time. Tutsis (like Rusesabagina,s wife)hiding to escape planned extermination. But the Hotel was not a target since they had a French communication team operating from there and the French were allies to the regime committing genocide. So Rusesabagina is just a Hollywood hero. Only the ones who could pay were admitted in the hotel. But I understand... It's not easy when you discover that Santa Claus is not for real.
