I have been on cruises and spent 20 years in the Navy; being on a cruise ship and a military ship are very different experiences. The only common denominator is the beauty of the open sea. It is a wonderful experience to look out and see nothing but ocean and sky, however it can be stressful driving a ship at night and being watchful not to hit something.

Haha. All you see is a wall of black. No joke. You hear the water and feel the wind but see nothing, and it feels like you can almost reach out and touch your hand to it. Pretty creepy.

I went on a 7 day cruise and being at sea with all the entertainment and stuff on board i was still bored out of my mind...you guys watching this vid think it's all cool and fun to go on expeditions like this..wait till you go on it, your opinions will change. I know mine did. Hats off to the uploader for his life style, it sounds like he enjoys it.

@luanatic: Depends on the individual person. I did it, too, and all I needed was a balcony, good music, and a good book and I was set. Let's not forget that food is always available so you never actually have to do anything for yourself. Pretty relaxing, if you ask me. But it's always better when you have something like docking at the Bahamas to look forward to.
