@MasterOctagon i know the lyrics and know what a political sientist is. last one is not one who makes political decisions like supplying cocaine. i still dont get it. maybe you are so kind to explain.
@sunzsu This song in some way that probably only Ryan fully understands is a diss to The White Stripes. Ryan has notoriously had feuds with Jack White. In liner note thank yous Ryan has sarcastically said "thanks to Meg White for saving Rock N Roll." And did that WS parody cover song "Dead Leaves On The Burning Ground",
This song relates to the White Stripes in so many ways. "this place is inconvenient for my name" Meg is no longer married to Jack but still going by White. "Banging hard upon a crooked drum (Meg) she feels them tearing down salvation army (Seven Nation Army) houses back in Michigan (White Stripes are from Detroit)." "whats red and white and nearly over?" Political Scientist.
I just heard part of the song featured on Season 1/Episode 17 of Friday Night Lights and went out and bought the CD right away. Thanks for letting me listen to this while I wait for the CD to arrive!
@HeadlightMorningGlow : Absolutely. So unappreciated. The single disc release is my favorite album of all-time. Nothing better than listening to this album all the way through, driving around a quiet, 'industrial-y' city, in the middle of the night, with the windows down. Heaven.
@HeadlightMorningGlow For me as well, totally crazy how some hipster reviewsites were putting this album down back in the days. We're 2011 now and Love Is Hell IS in my top 3 best albums of the last decade

I can't believe how prolific this guy is. He rarely puts out something that doesn't resonate with me.
