when ever anything went wrong ie disaster even those that wernt friends were there to help each other were as all this closness gone ? I remember lofthouse disaster dad was there helping doing watever was asked as were many more polish russian hungarian there was no discretion bless them all
I lived was brought up with the miners around my home was 8 coal mines theese were hard men but lived for there familys and a pint at the end of the day they are now a fading piece of history god bless each and every one of them including dad who was underground 30 years
My Father his brothers and his Father for generations before him were all miners. Thatcher ruined this country and the treatment of decent hard working men was a scandal. Thank You for this video brought back a lot of memories our whole street were miners so I grew up with the experiences of accidents and the fear of my Dad being late home till the day came when he was trapped by 14feet of coal when a dowty prop failed. knowing about disasters like Knockshinnoch. The Price of Coal is so apt
Good video Bill and spot on regarding Britains demise at the hands of Thatcher & her ilk, I was still in Rhodesia when she took power & we were doomed from that moment on. Iron lady my arse. Scotty (Iowa USA)
remember 1980 in Corby,I was a steelworker with two young children.Thatcher brought that man from America gave him a few thousand pound to shut us down.I wonder who Cameron
@Focuskoi1 i worked at hem heath on methane boring. but my first job was belt patrol from hem heath up to florence then had my snapping and walked all the way back again
Rest in peace, phil, butty. Will never forget working with you and all the memories and experiences we shared.I will have a couple of pints to you next week.
