  • At 1:37 Watcha doing little duck... quack, quack, quack. I'm a Chicken!!! That is so hilarious...

  • Omg, both the lady and the bird have such pleasant, calming voices. Really sweet video. :)

  • This is very depressing for me, this bird has obviously come down with a severe case of mistaken identity ... So sad...

  • how long did it take for him to learn how to talk?

  • Watching your videos made me want to adopt a mynah bird but aren't they illegal to keep in the US? My boyfriend and I have been together for years and aren't able to have children. Unable to have a dog or a cat either, he's deathly allergic. :( Are there any other birds similar to a mynah?

  • Please make video's of him walking/flying outside!!! :D

  • after this i want a bird like that too!

  • So cool!!

  • D'aww, he can even mimic your laugh. That's pretty cool.

  • Thanks for the reply. I used to live in Waianae on Oahu and never saw a Mynah on that side of the island.

  • I LOVE mynahs! What a cutie! We had one when I was a child and his cage was next to the water cooler and he could imitate the sound of the gurgle perfectly. He also called us just like my mother and imitated her sneezing and blowing her nose.

  • Does he actually go outside?

  • @Hornadayfan I use to walk out with him all the time.. one time he was spooked and flew to the nearby park. The next morning he was in the neighbors yard calling my dog "Jack come here". I climbed on the roof and he immediately flew over to my head, got on my shoulder and stayed glued to me as I climbed down the ladder into the house. He now likes to sun in his large cage outside and I am in the process of adding a screen patio/aviary he can fly in and out of whenever he wants

  • @cmhhawaii You're a great pet owner. Thank you so much for sharing. :-)

  • How did you teach him this??!! What a beautiful creature!

  • @emmaMcemma I talked to him all the time along with lots of freedom and love. They are highly intelligent and a HUGE commitment. Not the best pet bird as cute as he is. I had planned on releasing him but he had a bad leg. He definitely is unique

  • Wow, that's just amazing. This is so rare. Please make move videos while he's still alive.

  • @J3D000 Thank you for your interest ...He IS a special little guy...I have tons of video yet not enough time to sort through it all. I will try and get some new ones up soon

  • Can we see a video of him outside, please?

  • @meloearth I have tons of video yet not enough time to sort through it all. I will try and get some new ones up. He has flown to the park near us and come home each time. Right now when he is outside he is in a cage... free in the house. I am adding an aviary to the side of the house for him

  • I'm impressed at how smart he is.

  • Oh my gosh coolest thing ever in the woruld

  • So sweet!

  • I love this bird's voice, and the way it moves, everything about it is so intriguing to me.

  • Haha i love its laugh

  • Just wondering... Parrots can not only repeat phrases, but can use them to communicate with their owner in their own way, like saying 'bombs away' when it has to go to the bathroom... Do mynah birds do that too? Or is it only mimicking?

  • @Aerostryker2 They do mimic but there is no doubt he communicates. He associates action and phrases. When I walk out he says "Be right Back" When the dogs run outside barking at something he calls them with "come here" .When he is hungry he asks for Papaya etc...

  • What a good bird!

  • If you got som sort of mini duck beak or an origami one and put it on, hi daffy duck!

  • @cmhhawaii I lived on Oahu for a few years and would always see birds like that but they looked like they were wearing masks, are they the same? I havnt seen one close enough before

  • Awwwwwwww!

  • I like how it has to puff itself out before it talks.

  • im so sorry to hear about jack and its so hard to lose a member of your family cause i lost my dog to but anyway how old is kaleo

  • I love them, but The old woman has brain driller sound!

  • Comment removed

  • Lol, I can't tell which one is talking sometimes- this Mynah imitates that well!

  • im addicted to this

im a turkey talker gobble gobble

  • I think people should start rethinking the meaning of the phrase, "bird brain". This is one amazing bird.

  • XDDD i lol'd so hard at the chicken sound, so cute 1:03

  • he sounds like dondle duck lol

  • this is so so very much funny!!

  • where did yu get him?? in australia they're pests...how long did it take to teach him to talk??

  • He has a great chicken cluck! What a smart birdie!

  • got anymore vids

  • I love that she/he laughs at her/his own jokes. What a cutie.

  • I would love to see more of these, I never get tired of watching this precious bird with his wonderful owner! Please give us more :)

  • amazing the time you spent with him, what a little joy to us all!!!

  • I like his laugh, it´s funny xDDD

  • What kind of Mynah is Kaleo? I'm really wanting one, and like these kind, but do not know the type.

  • I was having a terrible day until I saw this : 0 I smiled and laughed soo hard!! Thanks!

  • Probably the only one who disliked this video is a jealous parrot. Kaleo is such a cool little bird.

  • i rescued a baby mynah wen he was one week old...nw he's one and a half months and so adorable....i cant imagine how people can talk abt killing thm because they are pests.....if thats the case then ppl shud b frst in the list...lets not forget our wonderful contribution to global warming.

  • Oh how funny, I love the way it puffs out its feathers when it's talking!

  • Holy cow is this for real ?

Do you think he understands ?

  • @Porcelanesa It's basically a "I heard this, and this is how I should respond" type of situation. He's taught one thing, then he's taught how he's supposed to respond to that situation. Then again, you could learn it on his known. It's a very intelligent bird, for that matter!

  • @IceTehFurz Oops. "Then again, he could learn it on his own". That was a terrible spelling mistake, I guess I must be tired.

  • he is toooooo cute!!!!!

  • AND his wings are unclipped...so he is with his ''person'' because he WANTS to be, not because he has no choice...he could fly away if he wanted..this ia a rare relationship..we had a ''pet'' crow who lived in 2,000 acres, but visited when he felt like it.He was never caged either.

  • SO lovely to see a bird free of constraint..cages are so depressing for birds..

  • This bird is obviously so happy and healthy and gets masses of freedom, this is how birds should be kept, with as much freedom as possible, and attention. Cages are a no no for true bird happiness.

  • AWW! I love, 'Im a Turkey Talker'

  • Holy bird, that is impossible.

  • I have never seen a bird like that ever. Where is it from?

  • how the hell did you get that bird to do that?!?? amazing!

  • So adorable and smart.

  • wotchu tink ? hahah so cute

  • 'I'm a little duck. Quack quack quack!' Wow, that's adorable! xD

  • 2:33 evil laugh XD

  • Is it true they live for 300 years?

  • @flouflis1a dude either u an idiot or an idiot

  • @flouflis1a Actually, the birds are immortal and impervious to forces of the earthly realm

  • Those minas are smart birds,,thats cool

  • I wish that my cat could do that and be so cute! =3

  • really impressed...wow...

  • Is his right foot broken?

  • I'm a homeschooler and we're studying all the animals created on the 5th Day of Creation - flying animals. So, we learned about different birds being able to make different sounds based on the number of muscles in their necks. I remembered the Mynah Bird that was on the Best of Johnny Carson video and how awesome it was, so looked it up and found Kaleo! We watch him all the time now - it's precious.... Looking forward to more videos of Kaleo!

  • Kaleo is so adorable. ^.^ I've watched every one of the videos of him. What a special little bird.

  • Thank you so much for posting the new videos! You have some fan club...I send these to everyone! Kaleo's inflection when he said "all right" at the end is the most precious part. Your relationship with him is the most admirable, I can feel the love and connection. What a joy he is and he is lucky to have you!

  • @tatumpiano my sentiments exactly!! :)

  • what an amazing little guy, and a very special friendship
