One of the reasons I play FF is because it's turn based. I know it sounds weird, but it's so different from my other RPGs I play, that's why I like it.
I Hope Vanille and sazh make an appearance, they were my favorite characters in ffs13. Sazh seemed like the most normal one between them lol, and Vanille is simply fun and caring character(though unlikly she will be back).

All I needed was Homer Simpson's hinged beweighted-bowing bird, to position my controller's X button underneath the bird's repeatedly descending beak, and I could happily be off to do housework and even go out to do my grocery shopping, whilst the game's bewigged and beruffed denizens, with their annoying hair, could play THEMSELVES out. Luckily EB had 7 day returns)

I hate how the movie has the lovers connect then the next movie they take one out and throw a new one in. This one especially sucks cuz Snow promised Lightning he would make Serah happy... And Final Fantasy was called that because it was supposed to be the last project they did because they 'knew' it would not be successful and it was going to be Squaresoft's swansong in the gaming industry. When it had such massive success, they produced Final Fantasy II, III, and so on...
So the name was never meant to reflect the content or direction of the game.
Probably not, I think just Lightning and maybe Snow. Vanille and Fang definitely won't be in it as they are inside that crystal thing, Sazh is not really an important enough character and neither is Hope.
Well everyone is entitled to their opinion (as I stare down below). But I REALLY want this game. I thought XIII was great, and this one looks twice as intense. I really wonder where they are going to take the story. The ending was like an open ended question, so anything can happen... (And finally Serah does something other than turn to crystal).
People need to stop being blinded by nostalgia. Time to move on! I enjoyed XIII very much and I'm not the only one that's for sure. Soon, the ones who don't whine and hate will be enjoying XIII-2 and Versus XIII. EAT IT HATERS! lol
Idk, I really liked the combat of XIII, although the out-of-combat gameplay was lacking (it was not bad, it just felt imcomplete). I'd mention the pretty cool side-quest system in Gran Pulse, this is the first Final Fantasy in which i actually had FUN doing all the sidequests (I always do, but it's usually a chore).
If they add a more RPG-styled out-of-combat gameplay XIII-2 may be really great.
Love All There Storylines , Characters & Graphics but To me Final Fantasy doesn't feel like Fantasy to me anymore, i think they concentrate on the storyline more than how its played. I prefer FF12 battle system it's just alot more simple than FF13 (That's just my opinion anyway, no offense to the FF13 fans out there :3 )

I don't know what it is but I hated FFXIII-1 and know I'll probably hate this one too, yet I still get really psyched whenever I see this trailer and know that I'll probably end up getting it anyway. It sucks not being able to trust myself with my own money.
Pretty sure this game is going to be the final nail in the FF coffin. SquareSOFT made good games. SquareENIX is just releasing bad game after bad game after bad game. So what do they do? Make a sequel to the already bad game.
@Antlion666 If your complaining about the characters, you do know that the basic character setup is basically the same in most games? Someones emo, someones brave, someones a nut job, someones funny or idiotic and so fourth.
Oh yes, but there usually more diverse than having that one character point. Its not simply X character is emo usually, but X character is emo, a religious fanatic, has a fetish for bondage etc. FFXIII seemed to focus far to much on one character trait for my liking, to the neglect of all others.
If they have time to make a sequel for FF13 of all things, maybe they should make an FF7 remake instead. I'm not taking away from FF13, I though it was decent enough but I would really like to see FF7 with the Advent Children level cutscenes and highly updated gameplay graphics. I'm not an FF7 fanboy but if Square Enix really wants to milk FF fans, they should make a remake of FF7. I guarantee that would sell well.
@CheDDaRGTAS it's not emo hair, it's just an unfortunate coincidence that emos have adopted many of the hairstyles you see here... and if you go to Japan, you'll see quite a few people with fantastic (i mean the actual proper meaning of the word) hairstyles that would be considered 'emo' in the West, but is totally not considered emo in Japan ^.^

In japan, young men and mid-age men.. amongst them, the "feminine" hair and things are quite the fad, like seriously, so they make them look like that to appease the young and mid-age crowd in japan so that they can identify with the characters. Well i just tried the demo on Xbox 360, and i can say.
And its slightly different, they did change couple of things.
Like open areas, entering battle, and you can change leaders in battle and exploring mode, thats kinda cool actually :D
But that won't change the same feel you had towards FF13.
It feels like the same game, with a few tweeks, that's all i can say about it.

Idk, I really liked the combat of XIII, although the out-of-combat gameplay was lacking (it was not bad, it just felt imcomplete). I'd mention the pretty cool side-quest system in Gran Pulse, this is the first Final Fantasy in which i actually had FUN doing all the sidequests (I always do, but it's usually a chore).
If they add a more RPG-styled out-of-combat gameplay XIII-2 may be really great.
The rest of what u said is fine by me

Love All There Storylines , Characters & Graphics but To me Final Fantasy doesn't feel like Fantasy to me anymore, i think they concentrate on the storyline more than how its played. I prefer FF12 battle system it's just alot more simple than FF13 (That's just my opinion anyway, no offense to the FF13 fans out there :3 )

Pretty sure this game is going to be the final nail in the FF coffin. SquareSOFT made good games. SquareENIX is just releasing bad game after bad game after bad game. So what do they do? Make a sequel to the already bad game.

Oh yes, but there usually more diverse than having that one character point. Its not simply X character is emo usually, but X character is emo, a religious fanatic, has a fetish for bondage etc. FFXIII seemed to focus far to much on one character trait for my liking, to the neglect of all others.

If they have time to make a sequel for FF13 of all things, maybe they should make an FF7 remake instead. I'm not taking away from FF13, I though it was decent enough but I would really like to see FF7 with the Advent Children level cutscenes and highly updated gameplay graphics. I'm not an FF7 fanboy but if Square Enix really wants to milk FF fans, they should make a remake of FF7. I guarantee that would sell well.

@CheDDaRGTAS it's not emo hair, it's just an unfortunate coincidence that emos have adopted many of the hairstyles you see here... and if you go to Japan, you'll see quite a few people with fantastic (i mean the actual proper meaning of the word) hairstyles that would be considered 'emo' in the West, but is totally not considered emo in Japan ^.^

In japan, young men and mid-age men.. amongst them, the "feminine" hair and things are quite the fad, like seriously, so they make them look like that to appease the young and mid-age crowd in japan so that they can identify with the characters. It wasn't always like that, but things change in culture, etc.

FF XIII was a really good game. but in FF lifeline only a piece of shit!
my complaints:
1. Battle-mode: why has the battle mode "fire, ice, lightning" if its senseless to me if the auto battle mode doing everthing right for me?
2. World: Palumboldu Kalarabamau... wtf? The name of a city is like a huge shit on the floor. So .. ugh!!
3. The characters: why is every character like cloud? every one want to die?? wtf???
4. the monster "behemut". near death he gain dopple hp and attack with comets??
