Everyone one has a different body structure. You can have longer or shorter limbs compared to someone else even if you are both the same height. It's just genetics.
I'm confused. my fingers can't wrap around it when I move it up to the knuckles, so I use my other hand to close it for me. the part that's confusing me is what do I do from there? I grip it, and when I release the grip, I can't even go that far because i'll just lose the grip and have to set it again using my free hand.
This makes your forearm stronger which makes you punch harder. I got in a fight yesterday and cracked someones jaw. They dropped to the ground and I stomped on their head. I just get really angry now. When I was a kid I used to be so calm. I don't know what has happened to me.
does thick bar training or training with block weight carry over into closing the tougher grippers like the COC #3 and #4? I mean like training with the Inch Dumbell or BLOB?
Lee, your'e the best. I had nagging elbow tendonitis for 3 yrs. The heavy hand gripper really helped. This video demonstrated how to balance out the training. Thanks. Have you even had to deal with that or rotator cuff injuries?
i use the hand grips but i dont feel anything in my forearm? i dont know if it is a bit of a weak grip. will my forearm be getting a workout or do i need a grip where i can feel it in my forearm? thanks in advance of any advice.
just hang from a chin-up bar or a branch...or do towel chin ups i find they are even better than grippers. Tearing large stacks of paper is also very good.
I use dual weapons (swords, staffs, etc.) I've been looking for a way to reduce the stress on my elbow for tendonitis. The band exercise looks like exactly what I need. Thank you for posting this.
but how do i know when they are balanced ?? i want to start doing this exrcises but how would i know im not overdoing the flexors or maybe the extensors ???
Lol, I searched for hand grip and came across your video. Great work!! There was one thing you said though (too small of a rubber band, now), and as soon as you said it, I knew EXACTLY where you were from! Newfoundland FTW! Thanks for the tips!
Also, try opening and closing your hands as fast as possible for as long as possible. You will be amazed at how hard this is and the pump you will get.
can anyone tell me where to buy those rubbers or how are they called? I looked @ amazon and ebay and all I got was hair rubbers and stuff like that. Please, I would really appreciate it
I discovered the rubber band exercises a few years ago. This virtually cured 20+ yrs of undiagnosed repetitive motion injuries I have from playing guitar. I used to have to stop playing for 6+ months at a time. I'm not cured, but w/maintennance, I can play regularly. I've returned to school to study music and I'm pursuing a career in it now. EXCELLENT post/advice.
So the rubber band would probably help the small extensors for opening finger, but would something with that little resistance really help with the muscles on top of your forearm?
I'm trying this now. Anyone know how long it will take to see improvement with wrist tendinitis or tennis elbow?
Going to try to do this once or twice a day, every day
chocoboblue99 1 week ago
@chocoboblue99
It depends on how back your tendinitis is, but you could see improvement within a couple weeks of doing this regularly.

uploader i want to ask from you that hand grippers are good for weak elbow & tendons?
abdulmoeedkhan1988 2 weeks ago
@abdulmoeedkhan1988
Yes, training with heavy grippers is great for building up the tendons of the forearms and can help with tendonitis issues.

I am trying the rubber band thing now , it actually feels quite good.
Any recommendation on how often to do this?
Hope this will make the whole tennis elbow go away.
Thanks for the video and if we were in prison i would definitely protect you in the shower.

@respeezy
You can do this everyday, but if your fingers or joints feel sore, just take a day or two off from doing this and then resume later.

If that works, wouldn't typing work? It would be like cardio for the extensors because you're always picking your fingers up and putting them down.

This is something I've been wondering myself. If we train our grip with heavy loads shouldn't we also train our extensors with heavy loads?
I've checked various articles on finger extensor training and no one seems to answer this question.
I think it's great leemhayward posted this vid.
