  • I love my Force!!

  • After watching this vid i threw over 400ft for the first time today. Thanks Dion!!!!!

  • He said 731 feet. The description says 732 feet...whatever dion is a beast

  • Dion is definitely the new "papa" at Discraft technique vids...extremely instructional. Thanks Dion!

  • I agree with jugglinggenius, Dion Arlyn needs to make more videos. He looks, dresses and speaks the way a real profesional should. Great Video!

  • i just played in the st paul winter carnival dg tourney, my best drive was 425'. this makes me sick.

  • This made my shoulder hurt just watching...

  • Thank you, Great video and VERY helpful. I really hope Dion makes more videos for you guys.

  • good video, some tips that I will try to get my driving distance over 350 feet.

  • this guy needs to make more videos, this is by far the most well spoken speaker on driving for distance and he actually knows what he is talking about!!!!! please make more with him

  • Thanks...now I remember what I was doing right 3 years ago.

  • Nice vid, can't wait to get out there and throw.... I hate winter.

  • pretty sure your throwing down hill bud.

  • @JRaab311 nah dude ive been there its definitely up hill. i can throw 500+ and its damn near impossible for me to throw completely to the top of the hill

  • I ordered a pink nuke and it came in today and the only reason i got pink was because i saw this video n was like IM GETTING A PINK NUKE

  • @iCeCoLdKiLlAxX009 dude i went to my local disc nation store and got a pink first run nuke! solely because of this video lol i love the disc! it really goes far.

  • @jptDrEaMeR I know! It almost feels overstable but its so easy to turn over!

  • Thank you Discraft.

    Thank you Mr. Arlyn.

    (I'll try the Nuke)

  • very nice...a fellow Golf addict

  • does having long arms help to throw far?

  • @Efan08 Hell yeah

  • Look at the flag at the beginning.. hella wind pushing that disc.

  • @iTwitchAlot1 look at the grass, his clothing, the grass at :39 seconds at the top of the hill is smooth too... there's not much wind aiding those throws.

  • Great video. The tip about how to accelerate helped me the most. I was focusing too much on the acceleration from reach back to chest, and was experiencing fatigue. Now, accelerating from the chest to release, combined with improving the spin I put on the disc, I throw better, and don't overwork myself trying to muscle the disc.

  • thanks for the tips Dion.

  • What he doesn't talk about is his side flick. Competed with him a few months back and he's CRUSH's the RHFH. Great attitude on the course RTW. He told me a story where Feldberg though his name was Ron and called him "Ron the Whip". The nickmane stuck and now sign's his own disc's RTW.

  • i could do that.

  • Just started using the Z Nuke. I've already seen a 430 foot drive in an open field with it. Most of the time, I'm seeing 360-375. Once it wears in a little, I think it'll start to really hold a turn for a long long time.

One of the things that really helps me is the concept of focusing the power rather than unleashing the power. From there, you can unleash focused power.

For RHBH, a slight left to right tailwind is ideal for max D.

  • nuke is understable for 450+ dudes :) not the rest of us.

this is still the best discraft clinic video yet.

    thank you

  • this is already helping me out. good video.

  • "Unless you're a freak of nature like Robbie Bratten".. lol

  • Ya i turn my nuke over alot. Gettin my OS soon tho!

  • @bigkeaner OS is beastly overstable. i love it!

  • Nuke!? Understable!?!

  • he was at my course doing a clinic and used me as an example because i threw farther than most of the adults and im 14 he said i had really good form too

  • Never heard the towel tip before, thank you!

  • lol this video makes the Nate Doss distance video even more hilarious

  • Probably the best video on distance driving yet!

  • Good vid.

  • Probably the best discraft distance clinic yet in terms of production quality and providing clear concise information.

  • Go Dion! Its awesome to see you doing a pro clinic on distance. His form is outrageous in how it generates power through technique rather then raw power. Now get Discraft to release Z Ringers in production quantity!

  • Nice job on this one. Discraft is definitely improving the quality of its pro clinic videos. Dion teaches well and has a good on-camera presence for these instructionals, hope to see him do more in the future.

  • 6:30 ESP Nuke OS? I thought they were only made in Z?

  • This year at the Glass Blown Open distance qualifying round he threw 843 ft. Slightly downhill with a 30+ mph left-right tailwind made for some serious bombs. McBeth threw 840, and Bratten threw 753 to round out the top 3. Top 3 am. throws were 750, 729, and 723. Great day to throw far!

  • more vids plz TY

  • Amazing ! Some serious hints and not even half the clip is product placement ! Maybe Discraft clinic videos finaly start being useful :D Keep it up !

  • It was great to hear a pro talk without going um uh um uh well I do uhh ... Very well shot/prepared to give tips. Thanks!

  • @thatcatstan I think it's because he's also a martial arts instructor. He's used to teaching in a more clinic style.

  • Someone should show "expertvillage" this video. I think they need more help than anyone else!

  • Its hilarious that he called the nuke understable. Thats gotta be some insane throwing power to make it act like that.

  • @g0ing2n0where Well, it kinda is :) There are production differences between Z nukes aswell. I have some that fly like Teebirds and some that fly more like Leopards.

  • @saemj Lol yeah, ive tried a few different nukes. only one i ever threw that felt really understable to me was a pro d one that a friend had that he had beat in quite quickly. I know theres always variation in the plastic, but even pros typically call the nuke stable. Just shows theres some difference between the guys who are pro dgolf players and the guys who are pro distance throwers.

  • @g0ing2n0where yea, I thought the nuke was really overstable too. It's pretty overstable unless you've got a wide open area where you're throwing 400 ft+. We've got two fairly long holes at my course, 400ft and 450+ ft, and I have to give them a lot of hyzer compared to shorter <350ft drives. The harder/further you throw it, the more understable it flies. That's the Z-Glo plastic nuke, in 175g, anyways.

I have a couple X-elite nukes, they seem much more understable.
