A guy is coming tomorrow to look at my HRDx, I payed £800 for mine, and have it up for £500, think its worth £500 all day for a 5 week old amp, and I told him I will not take less, as the shop I got it from will give me £500 trade on a deluxe reverb, but I want a used deluxe reverb as I can get silver face, or silverface PR can not Waite to get new amp, no doubt it is a never ending thing searching for the holy grail

@UKToneKing Best of luck in your sale! I actually ended up modding my HRDx and I've got another video on my channel of me playing my tele through it. I swapped the power tubes and had a half power switch added to make a bit more polite to sound guys.

@UKToneKing Good luck on the sale! I'm afraid I'll have a hard time selling my HRDx since I've added several tweaks. I like where your head's at with shopping for a silverface. A couple of my buddies have silverface Bassmans (Bassmen? haha) and they sound great. And I still love pickin around on a silverface Champ. I've only met a couple that I didn't like.

@stopthenRead he guess which amp I have now, a silverface bassman 100 lol yr friends are spot on getting this amp, it rocks ass big time, U can pick them up for a lot cheaper than a deluxe reverb, and I like the sound way better, what do U think of the bassman clean against the HRDx clean ?

I have the HRDx3 and was thinking of getting a deluxe reverb reissue or deluxe reverb silverface, because the HRDx is to loud for bedroom. Do U think the DRRI is a better amp as its £200 more ? the hrdx is great clean but is the DRRI any better ? I just want a good low watt clean sounding amp, which amp do U think is better out of the 2 ? please let me know, would I notice a big difference with the DRRI ?

@UKToneKing I can tell you that the DRRI or a vintage Deluxe Reverb won't be any quieter. If you want lower wattage, check out a Princeton Reverb, or even a vintage champ. Fender makes a good reissue of the Princeton Reverb with a 12" speaker, although the vintage Princetons originally came with a 10" speaker. I could be wrong.

@stopthenRead my hot rod is 40w and the drri is 22w ? suerly it will be quieter, maybe not half but defiantly some, its got to be has it not, people always say you can have it on 3 and its not as loud as the hot rod on 2, 3 on a drri gets a nice tone for bedroom ? I may be wrong, but I always thought if U had a 40 wat speaker it was going to be louder than 20watt

@UKToneKing Well, you're absolutely right that there's a big difference between 40 and 20 watts, and I'm sorry if I didn't give that impression. What I was trying to convey was that anything over even 10ish watts is going to be too rude for apartment dwelling, in my opinion. Fender tube amps are just plain louder to me because they often achieve a big clean sound which requires more headroom. I recommend the Princeton over the DRRI if you are placing such an emphasis on bedroom playing.

@jackson68647 Yeah, looks good enough for a beginner! Especially since it's got that coil tap; wish I had that on my first guitar! I'd recommend really trying to get your playing and technique up to snuff before even considering buying more gear. Just my two cents.
