ill admit deron is one of the best pgs. i never liked him because he was on the jazz and the jazz are gay. but the best pg in the game is cp3. deron is a close second and rondo is third followed by jason kidd then nash. after that there are no real pgs just 2 guards playing as the point

this is very similar to the yao and dwight comparison, one has better stats but loses wen going head-to-head against the other player. i would take deron anyday juz because he can do almost anything that cp3 can do but better except for steals. deron can even guard 2 guards. wen ur teams best scorer is having a bad night, u can rely on deron to give u 25-30 while cp3 cant score at will

Chris Paul is a better player than Deron, and any knowledgeable NBA fan will agree. Every player in the NBA has off/non-productive games. If you looked you could find a bunch of games where Deron's numbers were similar to Paul's in that game.

i dont get it. chris paul carries his team, 3 time allstar, led the league in steals and assists for 2 years, 2 years with 20-10 stats, more efficient than other point guards (fg%/turnovers), and was runner up for mvp. yet deron williams who has never beaten him in any category is better? people say chris paul gets more media attention. well maybe coz hes earned it with all he has accomplished. if dwill accomplished the same amount then he too will get as much media attention

Deron is better than paul..Paul dribbles too much, ball is always in his hands. Look how creative and smooth deron can go with the pick and roll with his teammates. Its not about making your teammates look like the audience, is about passing them the ball whenever you see an opening. Stats show paul has 75% of the ball posession whenever he plays, that way too much for a pg.

@Domineck54 ... Pgs dribble up the court? Yea some do, but the veterns like billups, nash, kidd know its not about dribbling around with fancy moves. They also dont have the ball 75 percent of the time. Even Cp3's own teammates said: When we play with collison we feel like we're all involved, but when Paul is here, we are like that audience, watching the game. Great PGs are able to help the people around them improve, not pour points.

@Domineck54 Another thing, David west is a very good choice, he is a steady forward that has very good footwork and a delicate feel for the ball. He is has very good fundamentals. Posey, too bad he's gone now, was also a good choice, Marcus thorton is a very explosive player that can shoot, the only thing is peja, and if CP3 gives him the ball when hes open hes still an ok 40+% shooter. With Collison manning PG, they acutally had 50=% wins.

@Domineck54 All coaches teach their PG, pass the ball more, yea attack the middle, but that is only to draw the attention to create spacefor other players. YOu said the PG is a playmaker that needs to wait for somebody to get open, a pg is a fucking playmaker that gets his teammates open. You say pg dribbles full court, i dont see traditional, fundamental pgs like nash or kidd dribbling fullcourt at all times. They send it for breaks or long passes as soon as they can.
