I don't get why youtube uses a pseudo stereo for high quality.

It still mono I did a panning test to see. I got my hq vid but it turned the panning into mono.

Why would they do yhis ? so you can't rip soungs in stereo maybe ???

The old loading up a .FLV doesn't work so does this mean no stereo left and right field in youtube anynore??? they fail :(

depends if you want it to be high quality as standard encode it as an flv this also reduces upload time

if you want a 'watch in higher quality' button under the video the encode it as an mp4 use the h264 codec thats good and make it bigger then the standard video size size 640x480 or something like that might have changed I dont know

Since I posted that youtube has disabled the stereo. The yourtube advocate told me they would probably do that. Why I do not know.

dude just encode your vids with mp3 audio codec and set it to double channel and it should work nicely

I tried that a couple of weeks ago and the first two or three times the video is watched it will be in stereo but after that it is in mono. I downloaded the test videos and used real player to view properties and they were changed to mono.

the serial no has spaces so you have to delete them in oorder for the damn thing to work

you are not downgrading couse the new one is a beta with a shitload of problems and it does not work + its the same program the only difference is the interface its rounder cooler but no one cares about that

thanks for the app, the code totally works.. but I followed your tutorial to the letter, and still YT converted my stereo file to mono... I think they downgraded something again and stereo files uploaded now still get converted to mono... not sure, but it didn't work for me regardless... still, thanks again for the tutorial, 5 stars regardless.

probably yt guys changed again useing 44100 sample rate and 96 bit rate and dual chanel worked before

well, i had the flash 9.072... i upgraded to Flash 9.0124, added the &fmt=18 code, and now your file sounds totally in stereo, mine too!! so your tut works like a charm!! 5 stars and fave as well!!

I am successful using anyvideoconverter free outputting to flv1 320x240 30fps 512 or 246 video bit rate and 64 or 96 mp3 bit rate. YT Will not convert 256 video at all and will convert 512 to 386 but leave the audio in stereo.
