That ghost effect is very simple, just film the actor or whatnot, and then just the background (without moving the camera at all) Then overlay one over the other at fifty per cent transparency or so. Most editing programs will let you do this. I don't have enough space to explain the "vampire" effect properly, but I could give you an overview via private messaging, if you like.
Well, I used WinMorph myself, which is free. I'm sure it can be done in AE, though I've never tried it. I also used FXhome's CompositeLab to composite the rendered morphs into the backgrounds.
I've never personally attempted a flying effect, though it's something I'd love to try once I have access to my camera again. There are some cool demo videos on the FXhome website that feature a rather elaborate greenscreen flying shot.
GREAT DEMO REEL!! That is some really great work you've done with FXhome.. it is promising since I have been playing with Particleillusion 3.0 and am going to buy Effectslab pro and Compositelab pro soon. (due to their much more affordable prices compared to PI) I am hoping to make a flying video within the next month, have you done one?
There's probably a way to do that. If I had a bigger greenscreen, I'd try it out. Otherwise, it would take a lot of tedious masking.
Also, you won't get anywhere with that "if it's not free, I'll steal it" attitude. If filmmaking is a hobby that you're genuinely interested in, you've gotta be willing to spend a bit of money :D
no! after effects i way better lol, fxhome isnt flexible, i own vision lab studios, and i have the entire cs3 master cllection, fxhome is mainly for breaking into vfx, if you are serious about a job in this industry then i would advise after effect, because you need to be ablte to cope with both easy interfaces and difficult ones... good luck, ps cant watch the video cus utube is being gay , peace
Heh, yeah I know lightsabers are kinda "old news," especially around Youtube; so I tried to mix it up a bit, and do some things with the software that perhaps hadn't been done before. There are still a few shots in there that are just purely lightsabers, though. :D
Very nice. I must say I'm sick of lightsabers now, but that's because everyone has their own lightsaber dual on youtube. Nice variety of effects, impressive. FX Home is pretty handy, easy to use too.
I just could not resist subsicrbing =)
Love the work. Really good. I use the same softwere so check out some of my videos please
Thx

how did you do the morphing effects. When you change from one person to another, and can it be done in after effects?

No, Fxhome's software isn't free, though it is very affordable. You can download demo versions of all of their programs from their website.
