  • My dog just gets up and jumps. cant get him to bring his pawms up

  • Give them the treat!!

  • KIMINJECTION:

Try to teach your dog no mugging, which means you hold a treat in front of them in your closed fist and let them lick to get it. Once they back away or look away, give them the treat. This will teach them not to try to take it unless you give it to them. However, there is one problem with this. Then your dog won't follow a lure because you have taught them not to. Teach them target. Have your hand in a fist with your pointer and middle fingers extended. When your dog goes to sniff

  • Cute Animal Picz app sent me here!!! Really cute video :) <3

  • I just trained my dog this trick! well, he kinda stops after a while and/or he doesn't sit... BUT STILL I LOVE HIM AND THIS IS A GOOD TUT.

  • My dog knows the "bang" trick and im trying to teach her to this one so when i tell her to "stick em up" she'll sit pretty and raise her arms, but im having a lot of trouble because my dog will most of the time jump up and try to get the treat- even when im holding it just an inch up from her. Can anyone give me any tips?

  • Just put it near there nose and pull up slowly until they follow and stay

  • lol is that its tongue? so cute!

  • thats so cool!! he learned really quickly.

  • wheres his tail!!!!???!?!?!?!?

  • @yahyah8 sometimes pplz cut thier tail so it cud supposably look more fansy ??? haha XD

  • @Zindiip that doesnt look normal...nd nowhere close to fancy in my opinion!

  • Wow thanks for the tip

  • i thought my dog to this... i feel so proud :)

  • my dog suddenly jumps and snaps my hand when i put my hand above her head...how do i stop her from doing that?

  • @hanniel04 Don't go to high with your hand, keep the treat in your fist and next to his/her lips but allow him/her to smell and nibble at it. But never give it to them (Baiting). Keep her/ him baited once he/she does the trick that's when you give him/her the treat. Hope i helped!!

  • @bellaxedward132 she sits pretty..but then she is holding my fist with both her paws..how do i make her sit pretty like the dog in this video?....

  • @hanniel04 ok well first of all (not to be rude) don't try comparing your dog to this one. This dog is reviewing he's clearly been taught this trick already which is why he does it flawlessly. I've had this same problem with many dogs. He's trying to build his balance. For deep chested or large dogs this trick can be the equivalent of doing a hand stand for us. Try standing behind him and have him put his back to your legs . Then support his chest with your hand. Keep him baited too.

  • Can you teach your dog more than one trick a day or is that too much for them?

  • @SuckAFatOne007 It depends on the dog. If it's a intense dog, go for it!! If it was hard for the dog to understand this trick, go easy on them. And for any dog keep sessions varied and allow the dog plenty of time to play and learn!! :)

  • am i crazy or is that dog really see thro

    -_-

  • my dog just falls on his bak

  • @camiliron1 try supporting him. Put him up against a wall or go behind him and when he goes for the treat support his chest with your hand.

  • can you come over and teach me dog anything, he's too lazy to even pee

  • My dog learned this in 5 mins, no joke

  • my dogg is retarted .. he could only sit -.-

  • OMG I HAVE A BOXER TOO!!!! XD

  • thanks so much :)

  • what if the dog jumps on you?

  • zak george is better

  • Very cool

  • my dog can do this, but he tends to stand more than sit. >.<

  • Your dog is very well behaved unlike most of them.

  • When I was 10 I tought my lab this trick. Got lotsvof laughs.

  • if i put the treat behind my dog's head, he just loses interest

  • @jonvegard31 Try baiting him by keeping the treat in a fist. But allow a small piece to stick out and allow them to nibble on it. That'll keep him interested. Once he completes the trick then you give it to them. Never before.

    Hope i helped!!

  • @bellaxedward132 he really doesn't care about treats :S he must not like them

  • @jonvegard31 Try meaty treats most dogs LOVE them :)

  • @bellaxedward132 ok, thank you very much :)

  • @jonvegard31 dont feed them for one day next day they gonna pay attention to it

  • @jose93aguilar isn't that just cruel? :P no, i'd rather let my dog eat, then learn him to do tricks

  • @jonvegard31 lol yes it is but i was just sayng

  • @jose93aguilar lol ok

  • @jonvegard31 They don't really learn that way. My dog has to do the trick to get the treat because if you give then the treat before the trick they're gonna think they'll get the treat anyways and won't learn anything.

  • thank you so much ive been trying to teach my puppy this trick since i've got him but i simply was positioning it wrong! thank you so much he got it within 5 minutes :D!!!!

  • my dog would naver do this...

he's just tooooooo lazy, every time I want to tech him something new he is like "wouldn't you prefer to sake? OwO *lifts paw*"

  • my dog wil nv be so polite... she always bites me if she doesn't get what she wants...

  • @deathangel90210 this might sound harsh but try biting back or slapping her. That's how dogs teach each-other and that's why my dogs never even nip at me. Even it i'm holding a treat to their nose.

  • the dog has a little tail^^

  • That is precious.

  • My dog won't do it watsoever she just snaches the treat and if I don't have it in tht hand she doesn't do it and usually it takes her two seconds to learn a trick

  • last time she said good girl...

  • very smart dog

  • my dog looks like a gopher when he does this haha

  • I will train my dog: Third, to do this :)

  • lol my dog could do this sitting for like 2 minutes its funny XD

  • oh i was doing way to high i was rasing it all the way in the air

  • Aww, my dog just won't do this. She won't reach for treats, but rather starts offering me all her other tricks, first paw, then shy and finally she lays down to play dead, but just won't sit pretty. Which is too bad, I wanted to link sit pretty with play dead. :)

  • @Karoish; Might I recommend a youtube channel for you? If your dog won't learn to sit pretty via this method, then zakgeorge21's video will certainly guarantee some degree of success. zakgeorge21 is an excellent dog trainer. Another channel I recommend to you is tab289. This can guy can even show you how to teach your dog to fetch drinks from the fridge. I hoped this helped and best of luck to you and your dog.

  • the dog is YOUR MASTER harrr

  • so you will need at about 1000 bags of dog food to learn your dog this trick and fat your dog to :D

  • Sexy girl

  • aww my bulldogs learning it now :) im taking him in agility soon

  • i tried this trick and it really worked for my dog and i have a staff so its very hard to teach x But he managed it fine :)

  • my bulldog is too afraid of falling cuz hes sooo fat!!!! hes a bulldog XD

  • my dog would just stand up and jump LOL

  • i thank you so much for uploading these. I dont have the money to take my two to puppy classes but I wanted to do many of the tricks you show but didnt know how to! I have 'bang' (play dead) down and lay and sit but that's it. I've been trying to do this trick for ages, thanks :)

  • how long does it take to get them that good??

  • How did you know

  • the dogs on here only do the tricks for the treats...what if ur with ur friends and wanna show them the cool dog tricks but u have no treats handy? like i dont think the dog would do it.

  • @heartbreakersVY

it is good to have treats after your dog does a trick for a reward.

  • nice

  • I wish we could get our client's dogs to do this. Very cool.

  • wow this really helps! Now my dogs can jump up and down for awhile like humans!

  • my dog won't do that

  • It works !!!

  • That for me is stand

  • my dog is only jumping very high when I'm doing this....

  • @KillUAllDudes

don't put it too much over their heads. just a little, then slowly raise it

  • i thought my dog dat b4 bt i use it for beg

  • tis wont work

  • my shih tzu did it on his own by accident so i trained him to do it on command

  • Thanks

  • my dog wont do this trick,he to polite to reach for things out of my hand..

  • nice dog you got :D my dog rather like to bark at me until I gotta give it to him xD

  • lols ^^

  • @Formidowow lol same :)

  • @Formidowow u have to show him who's boss

  • @WolfAddicted96 use toys and see if that helps. Tell me how it went. =)

  • Looks like a Boxer or Boxer mix.

  • what do i do if my dog jumps up? someone please help....

  • yeah mines been standing

  • It's because you are using a treat, you can also teach it by placing behind them. I don't recommend this trick for dogs who may have bad hips or joint problems, see my videos

  • I cannot pull this off with my German Shepard :( she always stand right on her hind legs, she doesn't sit on her bum, she completly lifts, yes I use a wall as well! PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO TROUBLES WITH THIS, WITH BIG DOGS, PLEASE GIOVE EM SOME ADVICE

  • it's not that easy with some dogs as is presented in this video. i have a poodle, who is known to be an expert on this trick, but using this method, he always lifted up on his hind legs. i took his front paws and lifted them just a little before he had the chance to stand up and clicked immediately.

  • than i just clikcked him a lot to remember the position, because this is the modt important. then i lifted his front paws higher and higher until we got into the right position and then lots of click&treat again. as soon as he learned the postition, he started lifting his paws by himself. first he was leaning on my hand, and eventually he had the balance... my dog is small, but i guess it was even harder because of that, since he's a jumpy little boy and started jumping as soon as i showed a treat

  • Can anyone tell me what breed is the dog on this video.

    Thank you!

  • i got a beagle at the shelter and the first day we had him he could do this on command :D

  • interesting to know.

  • does she have a website

  • thanks for the advice!

  • huh?
