  • unfortunately most people in south and eastern Europe still believes the north will save them via the EU. They went in with smiles and euro-signs in their eyes. They don't understand you can't build a democracy and a just state in a few years. The north have spent a long time builing what we have, and we are now going down like the Titanic. Because of everyone who marched in the same idiotic direction. The EU-treaty 1992, should never have been.

  • before 3 years i vote with dislike.Today i like this video.Eu will collapse one day it time for European revolution .European spring 2012-2013

  • Continued As you can see from the two previous posts.Nazi's are spread throughout the population. They say their nation is the most modern etc. There is no forced labour etc. But when you can't survive without working a badly paid job where you're barked at and humiliated constantly, that is of course forced labour. I've lived in the middle of EU and I see many outright lies in the comments here. Peaceful demonstrators are killed and made to look like they started by media etc.

  • Admittedly not by armed force? Lmao you speak above your breath you'll be crucified. Government could never ever have implemented the oppression they have without the police cruelty combined with media control. Expressing your opinion freely without being sent to labour camp or psychiatric prison? Huge lie. What many foreigners don't understand though is that a nation is not imprisoned by it's leaders but rather government is a reflection of the population at large.

  • Soooo, can this guy explain me why I as a Dutchman should feel myself different from a German, an Italian or a Spaniard? We all have to eat, fuck and shit.. our world, maybe too modern for that old faggot who's talking, it doesn't limit itself to its borders made in the nineteenth century. Goethe, Erasmus, Mozart weren't German or Dutch or eskimo's, they were EUROPEANS, like I am!!!!!!

  • @666Alester Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a perfect example of European Nationalism. A future Nazi

  • Doesn´t this idiot realize he can express his opinion freely without being sent to a labour camp of a psychatric prison? I am all for his freedom of his speech (which he doesn´t deserve).

  • ► USA + NATO + Kosovo + Globalization = EU Gadaffi ( off ) ; ( Berkuscony next ) ; ( Putin next ) ; (Papandreo off ) = World economy and weapon power!!

  • The big differences are, I have my rights, I have my property, I can be and capitalists and make profit, I can get out of the eu from when I want, I dont must go to the military, there is no forced labor. And most important, it would appear no armor when the citizens demonstrate. Like the praque spring in 68 when soviet tanks arrived.

  • The Soviet Union 2:0 is the EU. They however are smarter and have learned from their mistakes. They control the media euro news 24, BBC. Guardian. They are obsessed by money and greed. When it breaks down they start to become evil. The EU is failing and tragically the evil is going to come.

  • @affilinet extremist is a rethorical word that no one knows very well what it means, basically it means everyone who doesn't fit or agree with social democratic views,it's a ridiculous word.Muslims are expansionist, they are growing and europeans, nationalists or not, wont accept their rule and islamization.

We have no birthrates not because of the middleclass but because of our mentalities, women objectives are to have fun, have a career,so they don't want kids. You are so fanatic and brainwashed, sad

  • Smart man.

What he says is frighteningly correct if you look at the shitty EU today.

    EU GO TO HELL!

  • The EU was control by France and Germany, It's true?

and How they do check who is corruption into EU Commission.

  • What a ridicolous thesis..if you find that EU is a dictatorship please go back to Mother Russia, ruled by the wise democrat p.m. Putin.

  • @proferrando :D well, you obviously haven`t lived Soviet Union, and have very little knowledge about jurisdictional trends of EU. I can say that it is almost one to one, modernized version of post perestroyka soviet union. Listen to this guy, he knows what he`s saying.

  • @megatronlv7 The old russian guy is is only trying to recycle himself as opinionist. I never lived in USSR, but I ever lived in a EU member State and I never felt like in a dictatorship. However everybody can have his own opinion on EU, but the comparison between EU and the USSR is not an opinion, is a gag. In post perestrojka Ussr the store shelves were empty, in a EU member state you can buy goods as much as you want. EU enhanced freedom of trade and circulation and human rights. So what t.f.?

  • @proferrando

Do you seriously believe that a man who was willing to die fighting against the Soviet regime served 12 years in unlawful imprisonment is now attention seeking? What utter tripe. He does not say that the EU is identical (the empty shelves you refer to is a case of ignoratio elenchi). There are many disturbing similarities in the structures of the two regimes, which he points. Bukovsky saw Soviet classified files linking the Soviet Union and westerns socialists to the EU.

  • Comment removed

  • @proferrando I can see why you think that way. If you look at the EU as only the economic union then I fully agree. But when you look at the way EU is trying to intervene in domestic jurisdictions of sovereign states then it is scary. It`s quite similar to USSR in its final two decades, all the civil liberty adjustments for less freedom, strong push for gun bans and on and on. I hope that EU will fall or go back to strictly economic union, or nasty things might happen politically.

  • lol grasping at straws

  • jews have done this everywhere they have been in power. It's starting in the US. Remove jews and start thinking about yourself again White man!

  • watch?feature=player_embedded&v=8zDBR-ikjIA

  • Anyone who compares 'political correctness' (whatever that is) to the Soviet gulag needs their head examining.

Strange how former Soviet states like Estonia are now members of the EU.

    Just a senile old crank

  • @cowerme

Senile old crank? That's agism bigot, your opinion is no good here, you need to be more politically correct.

  • @cowerme

"needs their head examining". That's funny, because the apparatchiks in the Soviet Union said the same thing of Bukovsky and other dissenters. The reason Estonia is in the EU is because it is a economic gravy train for parasitic nations, and the sovereign usurpation is not as apparent in the EU, as yet. The complete lack of disrespect towards a man who has more courage than our entire political class combined, betrays how weak your stance.

  • Now under a threat of collapse, will the speculators get to keep the spoils, bought for pennies... just like at the so-called fall of the Soviet Union? IF YES, think design.

  • THE TRUTH !! fuck europe !! illuminati !! free masons !!! we hungry !!! return our money !!!! robbers of nations !! we will never melt !!! we will destroy this satanic union !! proislamists !!!! everyone know it !!!! FUCK BRUSSELS !!!!!

  • For Mother Europe!

  • So relevant today... prophetic almost

  • In soviet union I like your comment!

  • Its either get us out of this EU or there will be war

  • It is not exactly a communist state, EU is a fascist brave new world, as Huxley predicted in 1931! A slave must love his slavery!

  • @mcamoran You obviously haven't listen what this guy has said.

  • "i have lived in your future and it didn't work". there's some words to ponder. most people can not comprehend the disaster these appointed few can visit upon the worlds populations.

  • It's a joke to even call it communism... Stalin systematically wiped out any trace of workers' power (also due to the foreign intervention powers aiding the tsar) to conceal power for the ruling clique in the state apparatus... This bureaucratic monster that arose in the east was fought against from within from the very start, but succeeded...

  • The soviet union was a fantastic idea with a fatal flaw, GREED.

if there were an honest leader, who had to win elections to gain power the soviet union would have worked, well. since the EU is elected, then the new soviet union, bring it on.

  • E.U

EUROPOL WILL COME FOR YOU SOON >>>> HEHE

I HOPE YOU LIKE THE GULAK>>>>>

  • The bit where he goes on about national identity applies to Britain, England has tried to destroy Scottish, Irish and Welsh identity and replace it with one BRITISH. Take for example the recent riots in London in 2011 they were described by the media as BRITISH riots despite the fact that they took place only in ENGLAND.

  • @DrunkOnScotsWhisky Good point.

  • The new Soviet Union called EU created by the world Jewry has declared war on White Race, because of their intellectual capabilities of being an enemy to the Jewish rule, so a global racemixed proletariat without any history or culture is what they seek to establish - and Whites in politics help them to do it, like in Russia where White prisoners were released from the prisons then helped then mass-killing their own people. Whites, stop betraying your own people and unite.

  • Thank you for this video. Great contents. We must raise awareness for the dangers that come with the way the EU is developing. Discuss this with your friends, write letters to the media etc. We have a responsibility.

  • Europe is always trying to unite..it happens every 50 years or so. Unfortunately nationalism is deeply embedded into the souls of the various EU so called states. Recent events show Europe to divided and to weak to ever fully unite. Europe should stop trying to become like tge great U.S. And start to contain the sovereign debt crises before they once again start another world war. Which I might add America never did and had to come to Europe's defense!

  • @richiehz76 Trust me, the last thing the EU wants is to become like the US. By the way, Europe never tried to unite before the EU. Certain European countries united against others (both world wars, Napoleonic Wars as examples) which may be what you mean, but Europe has never united as a Europe. Stop with your 'America is better than Europe for no apparent reason' because frankly, it isn't.

  • МАЙ ИНГЛИШ ВЭРИ БЭД, БАТ Ю АНДЭРСТЭНДЭР ВОТ АЙ ТРАИНГ ТУ СПИК )))))))

  • To all of you stupid Americans inhere - Why the f*ck do you run it totally off topic with all your US babble?

What makes you think for one minute, that we europeans give a s*it? - You all think you're so goddamn important. All you can talk about is all your American shit, which we hate overhere.. We are twice as many as you, so shut the f*ck up hillbillies!

  • @sapual but the truth is, they ARE important :-)

Anyway, don't you like open debate?

  • @ninjashade411 thank you! its hard to provoke the question (philosophy does that) without people often feeling defensive; I'm not immune to that either..I ...uh...point to the US being a little of an outsider (if only geographically) because I honestly cannot infer what the future of things are from historical things (like this interesting video!) but I am getting more curious. Thanks. Cheers!

  • @ninjashade411 SAID: "Ron Paul, u better get into office!!"

I don't want a big fight, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has been seeing this: If the EU is like this Soviet parallel in some ways; US is outside of this. Question: following the commentary on what happened in Ireland and Greece, some talk of the US economy being a "sacrificial cow" for EU economy. Anyone care to speculate or illuminate this concept for me or others? Ron Paul (1 man) can't fix everything, replying 2 the quote

  • Dumb bitch! This guy never noticed, but USA "IS" the new style of Soviet Union.

  • Very interesting opinion that this man has. Yet, is this "economic bullying" not just an illusion rather than th reality?

Do ethnic tensions arouse through the EU, or were they existent anyways? I think they were there anyways, but the EU can be a great force in conducting such tensions and solving them.

There are ups and downs of the EU no question. But fact is that it is pro-democratic, the Soviet Union was not. Dont you think human rights can make enough difference here?

  • The prophets Daniel and John both wrote of the revival of the Old Roman Empire and its role in the last days. Daniel revealed in Daniel 7:7 that the ten horns represent the Revived Roman Empire and John in Revelation 17:12 also speaking of the ten horns said they will come to power in the last days. A closer study of the ten horns indicates that the EU is at least the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire.

  • Hopefully the EU will collapse sooner rather than later maybe the damage wont be so great than if we allow this EU monster to carry on.

  • I was just saying that the EU is becoming the new U.S.S.R and now I see this video. So what is anybody doing to stop this?

  • How could Europeans allowed whole continent to be seized by comunists and moors? It's very sad to see a new dictatorship starting. Good protect Europeans.

  • I fuckin hate everything about the corrupt EU.I hope the whole lots collapses.

  • It's an opinion. Do you have any opinion at all, apart from trolling?

  • EU is not going to live another 10years. Itlay, greece and spain are alredy in so much trouble that other countrys cant keep them alive too long. Our country is preparing to take back our own money and possibly separate from EU or at least i hope were going to...

  • @Lapinmiez

A EU is going to exist, its common sense if european civilization and its values want to have influence in this globalized world,Europe must have a certain level of political unity.

If this EU is failing its due to lack of integration, for the national governments continual refusal in forming a federation of states, with 1 common economical policy, which for instance would probably solve this financial crisis very quickly, combined EU debt emission would have a much different purchase.

  • EU is corrupt.

We the so called ''west'', that were supposed to be people with a new kind of philosophy and new ideologies that would combat corruption, no, our politicians and corrupt people broke everything and every institution from the past on to these days and we are as advanced as we were 500 years ago, still serving ourselves and defending shit-causes, isntead of combating the problems of mankind.

    God may help us

  • Its wrong to compare european union to the soviet union. EU promotes equality , prosperity , free pasing thru nations , common market , an defending pact and so on. Its just an aliace of nations to speak as one. I wont to back to visa for passing , exchange rates in currency , 2 world wars and so on

  • @zer0lis spend some time in southern european countries and see what kind equality and prosperity we got in here. Btw, actually, one of the EU main problems is that it can't speak as one.

  • The EU Is Hitlers Dream Come True

  • @mranthonyjhilder So you're saying Hitlers dream was to have a union of pro-zionist countries? Are you thinking before you type or is your brain on autopilot?

  • How about the North American Union? Its capital city is Tel Aviv.

  • @ManEatingSharks The US evolved into a nation state just like, in my opinion, the EU intends to do. I am not saying these are identical situations but the formation of the EU is mirroring the early US more so than the USSR as was the subject of this video.

  • @ManEatingSharks There are too many sources to pick just one. The early US worked almost the same as the EU government works now. The representatives chosen for the First Continental Congress were appointed by the colony legislatures. The legislatures were voted for but only by white men with enough property. Similarly the EU council members are chosen by the leaders of each member state and those leaders are in turn chosen by the electorate in their respective countries

  • What loads of bullshit...

  • Good points, but the Soviet Union failed because it was Russian (a people that have never achieved anything of substance without foreign influence) and Communist. Europe is capitalist and the majority of great civilization has roots in Europe. Secondly, the irony is that modern European "nations" are deliberate social constructions, but when the original Indo-European race entered Europe thousands of years ago, we were all united, so the EU is just returning to this...

  • Oh look, guys, an alliance that is similar to alliances! News at 11! But if it wasn't for NATO and EU, we'd have to deal with reds once again. Now they're scared enough of economic breakdown and too expensive war to advance west. It's either alliance or getting raped one by one.

  • @K0njad It was just NATO that kept the Reds away.....I think EU had almost no part in it.

  • @StarsManny yes NATO was set up to conain communist expansion in europe. the EU was set up to prevent anther war in europe.

  • "The EU is Hitlers Dream Come True" Anthony J Hilder

  • @MickScarborough Yes, perhaps the greatest mistakes of the EU are tolerance and appeasement of Islam, criminalizing speech as 'hate' speech, and allowing those of non-Indo-European ethnicity to live in Europe and become citizens. Also the EU should establish a council comprising Europe, USA and Russia (named the Indo-European Council) to decide all of the Earth's policies and decisions. Together all 3 entities would be unstoppable.

  • @MickScarborough Certainly I agree with you, that the integration policies in many countries have failed when it comes to islamic immigrants...nothing racial, just fact.

But has the EU accepted Turkey? No, and it has done this with a purpose.

Apart from that: maybe the Soviet Union wouldnt allow "islam to run rampant". But the UdSSR would not allow anybody at all who had a different opinion than their communism. Anybody who was not for the system was an enemy and instantly eliminated.

  • @MickScarborough i agree. i don't have anything against Islam but they have their own lands. If they choose to live in Europe they should respect the European culture. Some do but many/most do not.

  • @MickScarborough ahem... let me quote lord djibril from gundam seed destiny... ahem... "and now... we will PLAY A REQUIEM FOR YOU AND ALL YOUR KIND!"

  • @MickScarborough Bronze Age cult? You know islam is from after 600 AD right? And Islam is about as retarded as Christianity, What worries me more is the mindless cult called the christian right taking over America.

  • No empire has ever been democratic. Was there a referendum on Manifest Destiny in the USA? Of course not. If you are a citizen and you think you have a say, you're deluded. The EU is the new US, a resurgence of the Carolingian empire, maybe we will see a new EU president names Charlemagne. Remember that at the initiation of the USA, none of the leaders were elected.

  • Maybe the Russians would like to join EUSSR???

  • @danyman88 your fathers

  • @eViLJ666 we'll make a deal: when bruxelles will burn i'll take that back (the "you being a fag" part), until then you're still a fag, ok?

  • @danyman88 i dont make deals with sub-humans my simpleton friend

  • @eViLJ666 25th of june 2011, Bruxelles is not burning, EU is still here, and you're still a fag. i'll keep you posted. cheers

  • Very very true, he`s obviously a Russian gentlemen and has seen it all. I also was born and raised in USSR, and as a "Soviet Child" I can say that IF the EU will create united european defense force, than coupled with the anti-gun, anti-sovereign, anti-religious and anti-privacy/identity laws, it IS one to one with USSR.

  • The European Union is an anti-White Communistic organization and a complete failure at least as far as White People are concerned. Even Whites who have been brainwashed into hating their own race will not benefit from the EU. Let's send the liberal politicians of Europe a message by joining the Nationalist movement. For more information visit the Stormfront White Nationalist chat room. Just type in Stormfront.

  • EU the New USSR? Spare us the crap , the USSR was not a deviant immigrant filled sewer.

  • Since Ireland's economy collapse and the horrible treatment dished out to us by the EU, all the Irish pro EU's are remarkably quite. I guess they've crawled back under their rocks.

  • @Finnbar01 horrible treatment? You mean giving you billions of Euros instead of seeing you become a failed state? Get a grip

  • @oblongerer The EU is not giving Ireland billions of euro. It is giving the bondholders of Irish failed banks billions of Euros, you French and German banks. So you need to get a grip and get your facts right.

  • Democracy is a great system when it's just a few people and your vote actualy counts. Now they add more people making your vote more and more useless as they only need the majority of the dumb and easily manipulated from all the countrys. In a world goverment your vote would be 1 in billions.

  • obey the union or be obliterated !

  • This is what Retarded Liberals cherish

  • @Zendout1 The message in the video or the E.U?

    resist.com

  • LISTEN TO THE MAN WHO KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT.

    Bukovsky is that man.

The EU is a crypto-communist superstate (or would like to be). What we have learnt from history is that once communists have power it leads to corruption and dictatorship - this has nappened in EVERY case. The individual should always be more important than the state. EU fanatics believe the state is more important than the individual. By denying the rights of the individual, you deny the rights of EVERYONE. EU = USSR

  • (continued) to distance itself from its own history and to obfuscate any straightforward analysis of its political motives, goals and allegiances. In so doing, the Left intentionally blurs its own complicity in the greatest crimes of the twentieth century'. So on the one hand they support various leftist ideologies, and hate it when anybody shines a light on what they're actually doing! Largely because they KNOW that what they are doing is dishonest.

  • It's quite odd, but have you noticed that those people who turn up here, all outraged at the comparison made between the EU and USSR, are often socialists, communist sympathizers or outright communists? It's quite a bizarre phenomena; on the one hand they support the EU, and communism, largely because the two bear distinct similarities, and on the other they viciously attack ANYONE who makes the connection. As Jamie Glazov has written, this is the roots of denial: 'the left habitually attempts

  • How many of you critics actually know as much as this guy? Probably most of you are half his age and have half his experience and IQ. Easy here in the West to idealize communism and critisize the very political system that allows you to shit upon. Liberalism is a luxury not afforded in communist countries; ironic that misty-eyed potheads rally behind the tool sawing off the branch they're perched on.

  • @chickenwretch

    Well Said

  • and all this desinformation is pretty much the same like it was in sovietunion. its simple. usa dont like eu. because united europa can be an antipole to usa like sovietunion was. and like they did everything to destroy sovietunion, they r trying everything to destroy united europ. they dont need strong neighbours.

that doesnt mean that everything in eu parlament is ok. but its stupid to dump candy with wrapper.

  • almost every sentence is just a freakin desinformation. and why is he reading from scrolling text just like in news? who wrote this text? and what is goal of spreading this lies? pretty much every word about sovjetunion is a lie. and he ignores todays situation with nationality as base for a state. nationality is artificial ideology and is failing to work today.

  • The EU must be destroyed for the sake of freedom loving europeans. It is a dictatorship that is only gaining more power.Pro Europe but anti EU.

  • E.U the new soviet union???

    LOL

guys stop smoking weed. It's destroying your mind...

  • The EU is brilliant? Its your perception that they have changed. Its a dictatorship plain and simple.. wake up. Get yourself out of the matrix. Its controlling the masses not with an army and not even one soldier on the ground, but through something called central banking. Presidents take turns representing the EU. But for example when the French president runs the EU, I never got to vote him in. anyway, thats why they win, cause all of you guys are in the matrix and dont realize reality!!!!!!!

  • @AngeloKoukoumis I understand why you would say what you are saying. Unfortunately, you are incorrect in your assumptions. When you say that Presidents take turn in representing the EU, you are misinformed. The Council of the European Union has a rotating presidency, with each member state able to drive the agenda in turn. Regardless, before you make further assumptions, please look up and understand the institutional triangle (Council, Commission and EP). Once you have done that, come back.

  • BS...No evidenc efor these outragious claims!

The EU is brilliant and Europeans should support it.

  • BULLSHIT! Anyone can get out of the EU - JUST MAKE YOUR POLITICIANS PURSUE A REFERENDUM FOR THAT! AN READ THE TREATY OF LISBON for fuck sake - it has got a clause for WITHDRAWING out of the UNION!

IN SOVIET UNION nobody could question their withdrawal!

  • ok now let's crash the EU.

  • The EU, like the USSR, like Marxist theory, is supranational. They all believe that 'petty national states' are a thing of the past. The EU has been a supranational project designed to dismantle the autonomy of the sovereign national states of Europe since the very beginning. This is completely documented in Booker & North's 'The Great Deception'. Monnet always intended it to be a political union, not economic.

  • @CMTours732

You fail basic logic. Your comparison is like saying a Desk is similar to Hitler because both are of Austrian origin.

  • @kDest I think this is a fundamental characteristic which makes the comparison completely valid - and you know it.

  • EU is a future dictatorship that is being set up by the New World Order's elite to control humans. It is now being promoted as "peace and harmony" between European nations but when the time comes it will definately take a turn for the worse. After all "communism in theory" is a perfect just and equal society but in fact it didn't quit turn out that way did it !

  • The EUSSR yes and we even have unnamed unseen commissars devising a new directive ( unlawful ) every 3 hrs 24hrs a day and no one questions them even the people who pay their enormous wages ( you and I ) shouldn't question them ( democracy )

  • im only sure of one thing about european union its that one day the european union will be a big and one country and all the country that compose it will only be province of it

  • the fool...the US has nothing in common with the USSR

the EU is an imperialist, captialist bully that pulls states into it by forcing economics restrictions.

the USSR was a socialist state, two very different ideologies.

  • The Sovjet Union and the EU have nothing in common.Nothing.Okay maybe one thing in both Countries people like you listen to strange theories from weird man like this one.

  • @MrLdbz

Borroso the Portugese main element among many others (look it up) has extensive history involving the Moast Communist movement in Europe

They where shunned out of Europe after failing to gain power in France and wen to the Frankfurt School which remodeled the Communist movement into the "New Leftist" movement which seeps into the power structure and spreads like a virus, subversively (read about it, no conspiracy, its openly recorded and well documented).

    Also invented Neo-Conservatism

  • @MrLdbz

Hence both New Leftist and Neo-Cons always talk different but act exactly alike once in power

Two heads to the same Commie Coin

  • I fear the day we start to see laws that takes our freedom.

But I hope to see the day when the people within EU rise up and fight back, just like when the USSR collapsed.

Remember EU like any Empire/Unions in history even the have and will collapse.

  • Comment removed

  • This is hilariously wrong. Scary so many people take it seriously.

  • @kDest Oh this is wrong? Then please inform me how it's wrong?

I don't want to start a flame war, I am only asking you to tell me the biggest difference between the soviet Union and the European Union besides from different colours and names.

  • @Finni100

One was a totalitarian dictatorship with idiosyncratic communist policies, the other is a supranational entity with a directly elected parliament, whose constitution provides human rights and accepts democracy.

Comparing the two based on qualities like wealthy bureaucrats would be like claiming the United States is the New North Korea because it has wealthy, fat politicians while its poor starve, and both have a fanatical personality cult (Christianity and Kim Il-sung).

  • @kDest Seems pretty much the same to me, because the president isn't elected by the people and they take other countries resources.

  • @Finni100

Words have meaning, so do ideologies. If you can't differentiate between them in the first place, why are you watching videos like this one? You don't have the tools necessary to critically evaluate it.

  • @kDest So you are saying that the fact this guy and many other people and politicians are saying are lies?

  • @Finni100

I am saying it is categorically wrong to call the EU a totalitarian Stalinist state. Any similarities therefore are superficial and in the case of these speakers, are designed to associate in your mind two things which do not relate in any depth.

  • @kDest An un-elected Kommission that issues "directives". A "parliament" with no unified "people" to represent, not elected democratically and with no opposition. A secret police (Sitcen), paramilitary (European Gendarmerie Force) and police with immunity from criminal prosecution (Europol)......not a totalitarian state in the making ???????????

    Wake up my friend !

  • @Spenner56

Except it is none of those things. Your entire argument is innuendo. It would be easy to use your type of reasoning to conclude that Canada is the new USSR.

  • @kDest You used the word supranational. Both are supranational - surely this is the key similarity? Sure, the member states have in theory the right to secession - but the peoples of Europe have time and time again rejected membership of the EU and yet they are still members of it. The member states of the EU have the same right to secession as the republics of the Soviet Union did during the 1920s, until it was completely withdrawn by Stalin in the 1930s.

    >>Both are supranational - surely this is the key similarity?

No. The only key similarities required are that a comparison state be totalitarian and communist. What about this eludes you guys?

    >>Sure, the member states have in theory the right to secession

You're once again missing the point. The EU is NOT a totalitarian, communist state. Therefore no rightful comparison can be made. Try studying politics and history in depth, you really have no clue what you;re talking about.

  • @kDest 'You're once again missing the point. The EU is NOT a totalitarian, communist state. Therefore no rightful comparison can be made. ' But this absurd. Because it is not totalitarian, because it does not have an official communist ideology, means no reasonable comparisons can be drawn between the two? Even though supranationalism IS a key characteristic which they undoubtedly have in common? And the fact that this goal has been pursued undemocratically?

    >>Because it is not totalitarian, because it does not have an official communist ideology, means no reasonable comparisons can be drawn between the two?

Basically. The persons in this video are trying to imply that the EU is or soon to be totalitarian by comparing factors unrelated to totalitarianism.

It's like saying, "Tangerines and the sun are similar because both are orange. Therefore tangerines use nuclear fusion."

  • @kDest This is just stupid.

  • @CMTours732 Is supranationalism really a characteristic of the Soviet Union? I would compare it more to an empire. Could you please tell me, what exactly is undemocratic about the EU? I don't believe that you actually understand any of the argumentation behind what you are saying, you are simply repeating the voices of uninformed nationalists.

  • @colinbehr Of course the USSR was supranational, this is an obvious fact - and only became an 'empire' later with the takeover of Eastern Europe. The EU is undemocratic because the European Commission is unelected and unaccountable, it makes laws for its member states which are imposed on the peoples of those member states without their direct consent, and those peoples do not have direct democratic power to secede from the EU. Are you not familiar with the democratic deficit?

  • @colinbehr Also, the EU was a political project from the outset, under the guise of economic union. This is completely documented in Booker & North's The Great Deception and is past debate. In other words, the whole project is illegitimate because it has deceptively acquired supranational powers whilst obfuscating its own nature.

  • @CMTours732 I agree with you and remember the words of the wise that have gone before us: "The greatest tyrannies are always perpetrated in the name of the noblest causes." - Thomas Paine; "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty." - Wendell Phillips; "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke. I'm very suspicious of the intentions and motives of the people that brought about the EU and its currency the Euro - and with good reason.

  • Interesting. Being American, I hadn't thought too much about the EU, except that the porous borders could be a potential problem & that it is now more expensive to visit Europe & that I probably will never see it again :-( .

  • It IS a new Soviet Union. Different color and ideology, the same non-transparent and corrupt authoritative crap.

  • @lurconis666 you summed it up in one sentence

  • @lurconis666 How does the Dutch people see the EU?

  • @Finni100 There are growing concerns about the EU, in terms of transfer of sovereignty, interference in domestic affairs, and monetary policy. This manifests itself in the growing popularity of eurosceptical political parties (PVV of Geert Wilders). The perception is that the weaker euro states drag down the Dutch and European economy as a whole due to irresponsible monetary policy. Individual states aren't able to solve this solo and have to rely on the ECB, which grows more federal by the day.

  • @lurconis666 How does the majority look at the EU?
