@douhnutz lipo batteries are a lot better, the only issue was the price long time ago but now with sites like hobbyking lipos are more accessible

They are Hpi Phaltline but they are not durable as the Proline Road Rage

i im buying 2 8-cell 3000 NiMH batteries. will it still do standing backflpis?, and will it atleast perform? (i will upgrade to LiPo's later).

Yes it can do the backflip with the stock tire, im not using the xl chassis anymore.

They are good but I dont test it yet the GT2 tire.

for speed runs is the stock gearing good or not

at 19.2V the stock gearing make 44 MPH Still good =)
