The biggest drumline that i have been in was in middle school we had 12snares 10 bass drums 4 tenors and no cymbals. That was in 7th grade then in 8th grade i got first snare with 2 snares and 1tenor and 2bass drums the others quit the band.

@DanReed94 Its weird, last year, we were super clean and got first in everything at every competition, with 5 basses, 3 tenors and 4 snares, but this year with 4 basses, 3snares and 2 tenors, we are really dirty, with only one new guy.Maybe its because the new guy is on bass, our second bass, who LOVES bass was moved to snare and one of our tenors was also on bass last year. We really should have stuck with tryouts, but you know, instructors are instructors.

@wtfazombie52 i agree. we dont march with symbols but we do have them when we play in the stands. they help complete the sound of a drumline. if youve got to many snares, thats all you hear. so adding to the base and tenor lines and taking away snares will help balance the sound out. i know i sound like a drummer but im not, im a flute player/color guard. but i know what a good drumline is supposed to sound like. look up Oxford High School drumline out of Oxford, Mississippi.

There are big but there not together. I think there main problem is that there to big. Trying to keep that many drummers in tempo and together must be a nightmare. The idea sounds good on paper, but to have a one that big takes allot of practice, both together and individually. I don't really wanna say much though because I don't know how long they have been working. If they where still starting out then I'm sure they could work it out, but if not then they messed up during practices.
