It is my strong belief that you need to check it out for yourselves:
Breitbart died poisoned by his own hateful virulent bile and its resulting raging high blood pressure. It was just the method Satan used to call in his chips.
TV Guide considers An American Family to be one of the 50 Greatest Moments on TV. Airing on PBS in 1973, the show is considered to be the first "Reality" TV series. It wasn't MTV's Real World like many young people think. And frankly, it was a LOT more real than the Real World or any of stuff we call "reality" TV today, which relies on manufactured conflict (let's purposely put a gay person and a homophobe in the same room!) and stupid competitions that have nothing to do with the real world.
An American Family followed the Louds of California for 12 episodes, with no interference from the producers. In that time, the parents divorced, and in a landmark moment, oldest son Lance came out as gay on National TV. It became a media sensation, and he was known as "Homo of the Year.". Lance later died of AIDS in NYC, and his last wish was that his parents reunite. Lance became the most famous family member, and is the only one to have his own Wikipedia page.
You can probably find the entire series at your local library or even on YouTube. This promo is for the Anniversary Edition which attempts to put all 12 episodes into a 2 hr DVD.
