Re:greyflcn. Oh really. I remember the 70's being pretty cold in fact at the time government was terrorizing us with global cooling because of the pollution blocking the sun. So maybe its because the atmosphere has been more cleared allowing more sun energy to hit the surface.

Yes, it absorbs the infrared radiation (heat), and then reradiates it.

And if we're talking the atmosphere. Some of it goes up, but a lot of it goes back down.

And this is clear, since the atmospheric layer with the greenhouse layer in it is increasing in temperature.

Barometric pressure is highest at sealevel therefore heat.. and lowest in the mountains low pressure is cooler. heat waves and cold fronts are predicated by high and low pressure systems. The weather man doesnt use co2 content to map the tempurature. co2 is the effect of heat not the cause. heat releases co2. and there is plenty of evidn

And looking at your charts still follows my theory i just need to find a chart of pollution content of 70's to now to overlay and i bet you will see a pattern. Pollution blocks light. So higher temperatures in upper atmosphere lower on ground. progressing to less pollution blocking sun meaning less heat above and more radiating below. according to nasa 70% watervapor is contributing heat convection.

What makes it any different my theory is that heat releases co2.  being breathing. burning. volcanoes car exhaust. the amount of co2 doesnt create heat but is the effect of it. heat causes co2 to escape the ocean. when it cools it condenses and is absorbed back into the ocean. Coal absorbs co2 when you burn it . It is expelled. water vapor or humidity convects heat but when it becomes a gas and evaporates it cools like sweat does on your body.
