hey todd, i would like to say that this is a great idea! i love it! and i want to thank you for sharing your idea to the world!, i wanted to ask you about Aqua-Tech filters (since thats what i use for my 55g tank) you think you can make a video on how to make their filters reusable? thank you again for this video!! <3 <3 <3
When you are done using the filter it simply pulls off the frame and you can reuse the frame. You can also rinse these out several times. Just dump the old carbon out and blast them with a water hose then add new carbon. They last several months at least using this method.
If you are doing this just for mechanical filtering and not using carbon you don't even need to use hot glue. Just wrap the quilt batting around the frame and trim it close and stick it in the filter. I do that on my 65 gallon Aquarium because I don't use carbon in the Whisper filter because I have a carbon chamber to hold activated carbon. Todd
where do u buy the carbon again?..
