I have a serious problem with matchmoving with 3ds max - i track my simple vid with boujou or syntheyes then export the camera solve into the 3ds max, place the vid as a background put 3d object into and render. In the rendered vid my 3d objects are shaking a little bit which looks anoying and unnatural. Please response if someone know what to do to make them steady.
@Victim753 That's because the tracking you've done in Syntheyes or Boujou is not good. If you notice its not actually perfect in this video either. To solve that you may need to manually track you're footage - look up tutorials for that I guess.
@fpsmanager I think the tracking isn't bad because there is an option in boujou to place a 3d test object and when i do this the object smooth the vid perfectly (no shaking). The problem must be with the 3ds max but i dont know even where to look.
@Victim753 Then there may be a problem with exporting. When you track it make sure you use the same video settings (frame rate, resolution, aspect ratio etc.) for Syntheyes and 3ds max. Other than that I can't say anything more.
@fpsmanager I figure it out, when i export the solve theres option to start the trackers at first frame, but the video starts at zero frame, so i just save the solve with zero frame and everything now seems fine ;) Thank you for giving me tips ;D
@Victim753 its becouse when u export the camera solve it changes the timeline 1 frame forward. so you have to change it back to start on 0. if you whant it to match the footage
@Victim753 2 Reasons your camera might have jello and its messing up the track, or frame rates might be off, a lot of the tracking programs glitch up with the framerates
There are ways you can do that in the program, by setting the coordinates and orientation of the camera. u can also do that in 3ds max by rotating the camera.
Oh yeah i know what tags do, thank you, but it would make sense to have the real tracker in there too, so ppl would acctually find what theyre looking for, assuming they look for vids of the piece of software he used. But if he wants to keep it a secret, so be it.
it jus looks like artifacting on the edges not track jitter , now finish the rest of the amusement park :)

was it tracked in boujou?
but what i dont understand about all this is how you get the camera angle right when you are animating the 3d model

syrianX 3 years ago 6
im using something similar, but a lot faster and more accurate.
its also worth mentioning that its much cheaper than boujou (around 1000-2000)

Oh god did u even think of looking in the tags? Boujou is a tag here, kinda clear its tracked with boujou.
Vikinatorn 2 years ago
dude, he said that it is not boujou. He said it is cheaper and more effective than boujou. did you even think of looking in the previous comments?
sonicballer8888 2 years ago
Nope, didnt think of that. But why would he have boujou in tags if ts not boujou?
Vikinatorn 2 years ago
because, then people searching for boujou would find this video. because it involves camera tracking similar to boujou.
