What a great score! Though it does feel like there's an introductory overture that should happen first--there's a feeling of having been thrown in, unprepared, even if what we're thrown into is indeed gorgeous in every way. Thanks thanks thanks for posting.
Calling All LITP Lovers -- The 1962 non-musical version of this story, which helped to
bring this to pass, has recently been released. I wasn't sure I would like it. I do indeed. The sleeper of Olivia De(sorry cant spell) DeHaviland's career ..Check it out, fans.
I normally can't stand pre-show speeches (particularly in community theatres where they thank everyone who did something for the production, even mow the lawn) but in this one they make a virtue of necessity and come out ahead.
I was lucky enough to be there and see this show just a few days before it first aired on television. It was amazing. This cast was amazing. The only difference was that the Italian mother actually played Clara's mother, and I LOVED her in that role. She was even better, I think.
@broadwaymike92 nvm, i thought you meant the one before that. but it's pretty much the standard preshow announcement, please turn off all cell phones and cameras, there are hearing aids available, and if you have to cough please use a coughdrop or a caramel and unwrap now.
