I have never seen a Spitfire with a sharks mouth painted on it.. i couldn't even find one in my book on spitfires and it got every spitfire made in it from every counrty that spitfires was sent to.
@mamaduke16 I did actually..thanks for the encouragement!! My wife was feeling...randy tonight...this music...plus the flight sim...so hilarious...we both laughed at your basement nerdhood together after we got fucked...epic....
@ad356 i was thinking the same thing...!! i totaly agree with you and to be honest with you i've never seen a British spit or a Canadian spit painted with a shark nose. i don't even have a spitfire painted with a sharks nose in one of my spitfire books, it is kind of odd i think.
@ad356 - it sure was. On a side note my great uncle used to be a Colonel in the Battle of Britain and was responsible for suing the Gerrys with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse (in midair!)
i have a flight simulator, its a joy stick into my computer and it flys on the screen its cool i can choose a plain to fly but its aa my grandpas house
The very late mark Spits powered with the Rolls Royce Griffon had them. Notice also that the prop blades are swept the opposite direction as the four blade props; the Griffon turned the opposite from the Merlin.
Some Yanks even had the moral courage to fly Spits in the Battle Of Britain in 1940! Their efforts & bravery are not forgotten. Eg US Olympic Bobsleigh champion with two gold medals- Billy Fiske 28yrs. Fiske died from severe burns after bravely trying to land a crippled Hurricane. He was in 601 Sqn aka The Millionaires because they had seriuos money between them.
"Under the wire" an autobiography of William Ash Onesuch Brave American, Stirring stuff it is too, far from being a millionaire Ash had during the depression ridden the rails as a hobo...shot down over france in 1942 he also took part in the great escape
Agreed! This sim is absolutely fantastic! The Spit is fabulous to fly, it handles beautifully & is an utter delight to 'fly.' No wonder any pilot priviledged enough to fly Spitfires raves about them! What a machine, what a sound.....

@ad356 Absolutely. Shark noses were used by the RAF in Africa 1941 but mostly on Tomahawks. Flying Tigers copied it later

So easy to fly!!!
Put your sliders on full realism, disable your auto rudder and then let's see you say it's easy to fly, especially the big Griffon engined XIV or XIX
