Looks like soneman7 is attempting a grab for attention through groundless arguments. Reading his context he's speeking from a position of ingnorance. He's texting fallacious material to cover an alterior motive. One might surmise that he's attempting to convey that Robert is not being religious enough. Which is not the point of the show.
Just an observation. Love the show, Robert. God bless and keep reviewing.
No logical explaination why Jesuits would do such a show? Are you serious? --- Do you KNOW who the Jesuits are? We're at the forefront of communications and education in the Catholic Church. Our founder, St. Ignatius, embraced new technologies and communications methods as part of his ministry. We have long been known for "ministries of presence" that show who we are without promoting a strictly religious agenda -- So why would it surprise you that there is a Jesuit with such a show?
I wish not to offend you, but you are presenting gadgets. I do not see any benefit from you spending money on them and then presenting them to us, the consumer society. Now, if you were to teach me electronics, and present and *explain* the electronics novelty to me (not game consoles), I would perhaps understand (and liked to learn).
1. We don't buy anything --- these are gadget that are sent to us by the manufacturers, and returned after they are reviewed. I find that there is great value in presenting them to the consumer society so that they can become critical consumers.
2. We answer this question on our web page, several of our episdodes, in our mission statement and in our letters of institution. -- Quiet frankly if you WANT to know why we do it, it's easy enough to find out. Peace, Fr. Robert
Most of all, you must realize that not all Catholic ministries have to start with the sign of the cross and end with a final blessing. To think as much is a very narrow view of faith. There is a great ministry to be filled in that of witness and presence.
Quite simply, when reaching out to people, you speak in their language. I'm reaching out to the techno-savy and showing them an example of an engineer and a passionate uberGeek who also happens to live a life of faith.
Why is the resolution so low on the Axis cameras? It seems that the Mobotix cameras are better? They seem more robust and have much higher resolution. Anyone tested a Mobotix camera?
Well... if you're going to steal... steal from the best! --- I think the backdrop adds a little something. == Oh... and old altar boy's don't need blessings... they've done enough to be blessed for life!

I still think teaching me electronics would be better than showing me luxurius gadgets.
But, you have your mission, and I guess I have mine. If you blieve this is how you witness, and indeed change people's hearts, ok.
Frankly, I don't see it. But I reserve my right to be wrong ;-)
Peace be with you.

Yes, Mobotix cameras are better, but also much, much more expensive. Not something for your average home user.
