  • @TheLovelyMC Yes it is, but the song was referring to "his" sweet little thing" :-)

  • Hard hitting funk

  • Knew this tune somewhat before ever seeing it on House. Now everytime I hear it I see Hugh Laurie in my head playing his cane.

  • when u were @da party & u heard those 1st couple of notes from the guitar, u dropped your drink, grabbed your girl and broke your neck to get on da dance floor!!!

  • Did Lionel sing lead here, or,did 'Clyde' Orange? Somebody please let me know. God bless ya, for yer efforts!

  • I can not thank you ENOUGH for posting this song! :-)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Lol!

  • This song does not get the credit it should have!! Wild Cherry ripped off this song for Play That Funky Music...it came out a year after Slippery When Wet!!! You hear that song more than this one. SMH

  • If you ain't takin' care of business - this you must expect

Lord it's slippery when it's wet!

  • Thumbs up if you`re listening to this in 2020

  • House brought me here!!!

  • I want the DICK back to the music. Rap and R&B do not get me up.

  • @SkedBoard I love what u said. Dads are the REAL thing! I am glad he left you this. Love

  • oh yeah !!! house rulezz !!

  • Glad to see that a lot of people who were directed here from House were not dissappointed! Since season five they seem to have got off the old skool music references. Shame.

  • Too funky...love it.

And 2 people have slipped and fell over this song. They also broke a hip.

  • Funky funky funky....just love this. So stanky funky....love it.

  • this song is absurdly funky. and amazing quality, dantoine93

  • WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh yeah, and music doesn't "suck" today, you just have to dig deep. Back in the day, there was also terrible music just like today.

  • @Divljina89 .... ever heard of hardstyle? haha gimme a break the good music is buried deep. you go dig deed in our time, only thing you'll find is a bunch of rappers with exactly the same song structure (no names -jason derulo-) and some screaming "rockers" who don't understand the mic is still on and peeps still wan't to hear each other after the concert.... if I had a time machine.... seventies!!! (though I think I'd took my macbook pro with me haha ;] )

  • @TheKaratyChicken I actually find today music much better, because it evolved. In a nice way. Too bad you get 99.99% bullshit with that good stuff. But in a decade or 2 those good stuff will be the only one remembered. Back in the 90's in the grunge genre you had A LOT bullshit bands. Only Nirvana, Sound Garden and Alice in Chains remained remembered. And dude, stop digging around rap, try everything else but that :D

  • @Divljina89 yeah-yeah you're right but only thing I am trying to make clear is that nowadays, around 85% is computer generated (loops, auto-tune, etc....) music or live band who sound like shit couze they don't have auto-tune....

  • what is the name of this kind of music

  • @Radiostrauss funk, funky, funkay, groofy, (some say goofy.... :[ ) and at last epic wicked trippin' balls awesome-ish

  • House playing with his cane

  • REAL music

  • Horace Mann Jr High & Sportsman Park.... brings back memories.

  • Thanks for posting this classic track. Can you post any more from this album like You Don't Know That I Know, Better Never Than Forever, and Let's Do It Right? Thanks again for the great song.

  • I was about 6 or 7 when this came out and I couldn't get enough of this.

  • By far the best funk album they ever put together jammed every cut summer and fall of 1975. Thanks for the post.

  • Can anyone tell me how the lead guitarist was getting that funky riff sound quality? Did he use any sound effects or was it just using the pickups?

    Thanks.

  • Funky, funky, funky!! That's the way I like it!!

  • They were sooooo funky. This is the funkiest s**t ever.

  • Back when Lionel Richie can do the funk

  • gooooooooooood

  • when the Commodore's where funky, remember?

  • OMG!! This sounds so cool!

  • People didn't know Lionel could get funky like this. regroup commodores and don't do the 3 times a lady bullshit Funk it like this.

  • @mislokai

Lol!! I feel you man, funny you should mention this about Lionel & the Commodores, I was commenting on another blog about a few artist/groups on how funky they were in the 70's before they really blew up big in the 80's with pop songs, such as:

    Kool & The Gang

    Earth Wind & Fire

    Prince

    The Pointer Sisters

    Chaka Khan

    David Bowie

People might not agree, but Madonna's self title debut album back 1982, had a few good funky tracks on it as well.

  • Thanx

  • amazing song with a great beginning, cheers for putting up, tis great quality! x

  • thanx i will upload some more next week
