  • love love love this song the words r sooo deep Singing Sandra is amazing.......

  • i remember this show... Master Performance from her and Aloes.!!

  • Big up to Trinidad Singing Sandra should be Knighted regionally for he word in calypso

  • I am so proud of Trinbagonians who seem to have the correct vision for where our culture needs to be. Viewers must be aware that most of these live videos like this that is on the net is a direct result of someone copying for this or other pirating purposes in mind. As near as the 80s and prior these live performances were destroyed by the government owned and operated television station know as TTT. Rather than purchase new reels of film they will film over these treasures like these! Shame!

  • @Quelvisv Yes because you certainly have your priorities straight, we should be more like you!

  • @jennlinx This is the Quelvisv, thank you so very much Jennlinx!

  • one of the greatest song of the 20th century..

  • The way Sandra sings, one can tell that it comes from the bottom of her heart, and that is how she makes her audience feel. She is a great artiste. God Bless her.

  • just like when she sang 'whoa donkey'.

  • great song and lyrics but over-dramatic.

  • ummm...are you from trinidad?...if not, then you wouldn't understand. but the reality of the suitation is that this happans anywhere in the world, where ghettos are...but she is singing about what she see in trinidad.

  • how is this over dramatic?......obviously you need a thesaurus.

  • Big big Singing Sandra fan she really is a master song writer/singer her voice just permeates the soul, she has classic songs that will stand the test of time.

  • she is a master song writer!!! do you know how many songs she's written that are classic? ti mant to even count!

  • i saw perform this on the ferry ( fast boat ) to trinidad from tobago once, had a video of it on my phone, but you had to be their in person to really feel it .... i was shocked , its through all this i really start doing old skool..

  • i support dat comment SandoTrini...no disrespect to other genre's of music but the day when we as Trini's (especially local radio stations) learn to love and appreciate our own, dats the day when alot of tings will change in the country..in my opinion anyway cuz the power of music is not the answer (God is) but we need to have LESS of certain (dis also goes 4 certain Soca lyrics as well) lyrics that our young ppl are listening to..God Bless Trinidad and Tobago

  • bredz...trinidad have 100% local radio stations now..but ah know what u talking about

  • With all the rap music and reggae music songs about ghetto life, there has been no better description of poverty than in this song by Singing Sandra.

  • singing sandra is so talented! dis song is so sad! i touches me everytime i hear it! I LUV U SINGING SANDRA

  • i have this song, and i think it one of the best soca/ calypso song done.

  • This is calypso. Once the performance is during the Dimanche Gras, it is calypso. Dimanche Gras is the nigh of the calypso monarch.

  • finally...i've looked everywhere for this song....the Mother of voices from the ghtto ...

  • she had some bad cue in but it did not hurt her scores in the finals. She still won. great song.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • listen ah guy from grenada sang this song before her check it out his name is scholar
