i know a way that works for me, u find out the directions of the fur and plot that all out, and then lay down the graphite in the direction of the fur, ( lights and darks to ) then take a sharpened eraser and pull out the highlights, with practice and some improvisation it works great

For all you know, you might have talent.
Just pick up a pencil, and start drawing. Keep doing it over and over and after a while, you'll see your talent grow.
You've gotta practice.
