please can you tell me cause I have hard time deciding between sabertooth p67 and p8z68-v pro, which one you think is better quality-wise or for future upgrades? price is same but with sabertooth i have 5 years warranty, tested for military standards.. etc but with p8z68 i heard there were some issues with booting or..?
@don2xify TPU is part of the dual-intelligent processor (DIGI/VRM+TPU) that puts TurboV overclocking to work. The TPU co-processor communicates with board to auto accelerate your CPU. If you want to really use it, install the ASUS software Suite along with TurboV utility and have access to all of the voltage and frequency settings that matter. Great software to use!
@don2xify No, you don't. You can overclock manually through the BIOS. The trick is to use the CPU VCore "Offset" voltage instead of manually setting the main VCore voltage. The board's TPU/DIGI+VRM works very well in that respect. I just find the TurboV software handy if in Windows. Happy overlocking!
im thinking of getting a Sandy Bridge (i heard the new sandies come out soon... hope they use the same socket lol!) but ASUS and Z68 are way too expensive for me.
I might go with an ASRock H67DE3+2500 or an ASRock P67 Pro3 B3+2500k setup, havent decided yet ( the second setup will be a lot more expensive cause ill need a cpu cooler, too)
@gabrocki Alas, the sockets are different but that's because it has more cores/threads and uses quad channel memory. Therefore, it had to have a new pin count and chipset. It's like all hex core systems - intended for content creating, not gaming. Your 2500K will more than suffice bundled with a good video card.
Will you be doing an unboxing of yourself, that explains the box you're in. xD

I have a P8P67. I don't need anything beyond 2x Crossfire when using high-end cards.
