@ thaiguy thats some crazy stuff I was in drumline at mvhs at least you guys have an instructor we learned everything by ear nobody taught us crap the band teacher we had was sorry the drums we had were not real good but they did the job its cool to see that they finally got there stuff together . one more thing if you can record the ultimate warm up that we used to do I dont know if you guys still do it. but keep on stickin
hey guys, great job. love the book. sounds pretty tasty! although basses should work more on the height system with their dynamics. it seems like the music was either really quiet at 3 in. or really loud at like 15 in. No doubt the basses play with some balls, but paying attention to heights and dynamics help them as players. they got the splits down great, but the technique as far as heights and hands are all I have to say. and the sticks in should be cleaner, but other than that great job!
I'm loving the bass line. It's so much fun to watch. We have 5 too but I never get to see them on the field, they're always somewhere else doing something crazy, haha.
Sounds pretty good guys, congrats. But...come on 5 basses and only 2 snares? Cut the top bass (a 16" it looks like) and add a snare. Looks like the bottom bass is only a 26".... :-/
Yeah a 5 bass line is good...when you have the man power for it. But if you have a line this size, you need to go minimum three snares. I could see you going with this kind of setup if there were fewer than 80 people in the whole band, since your basses are so small and two snares might be enough.
well, 5-man bassline = more oportunities with the book. plus, it makes our splits a whole lot easier; all our warmup book is for 5 basses. however, next year, the battery will be really small; we're marching only 4 basses. that's going to be fun...
wow, looks like someone hired themself a seasoned instructor and arranger...very nice ...too bad there arent a few more snares and tenors to really fill out the sound and balance with the basses...but recorded indoors on basic audio/visual equip, its hard to tell...nice job.
do you guys lead on your right?

The snares and quads really do not have any thing special being played
Nothing hard
