  • do you guys lead on your right?

  • @lupie89 Most of the time, yeah, unless we have triplet roll figures.

  • @ thaiguy thats some crazy stuff I was in drumline at mvhs at least you guys have an instructor we learned everything by ear nobody taught us crap the band teacher we had was sorry the drums we had were not real good but they did the job its cool to see that they finally got there stuff together . one more thing if you can record the ultimate warm up that we used to do I dont know if you guys still do it. but keep on stickin

  • Man this line sucked, more like a dumb line. especially the fucking basses a disgrace to drummers everywhere world wide.

  • @TorresKills How so?

  • @thaiguy20fromla cause the stick heights are all over the place and not a damn one marks time together? dirty dirty dirty.

  • hey guys, great job. love the book. sounds pretty tasty! although basses should work more on the height system with their dynamics. it seems like the music was either really quiet at 3 in. or really loud at like 15 in. No doubt the basses play with some balls, but paying attention to heights and dynamics help them as players. they got the splits down great, but the technique as far as heights and hands are all I have to say. and the sticks in should be cleaner, but other than that great job!

  • i wish my bass line was like this,I would love to be in this line

  • Bass technique is a little floppy for my taste. Sounds good though.

  • you're duts lack agression :/

when you do you dutting, do it as if you're gonna kill someone lol

your dutting should scare the shit out of a little dog

  • I'm loving the bass line. It's so much fun to watch. We have 5 too but I never get to see them on the field, they're always somewhere else doing something crazy, haha.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Sounds pretty good guys, congrats. But...come on 5 basses and only 2 snares? Cut the top bass (a 16" it looks like) and add a snare. Looks like the bottom bass is only a 26".... :-/

  • we insist on having a 5 person bassline whenever we can.

  • Yeah a 5 bass line is good...when you have the man power for it. But if you have a line this size, you need to go minimum three snares. I could see you going with this kind of setup if there were fewer than 80 people in the whole band, since your basses are so small and two snares might be enough.

  • well, 5-man bassline = more oportunities with the book. plus, it makes our splits a whole lot easier; all our warmup book is for 5 basses. however, next year, the battery will be really small; we're marching only 4 basses. that's going to be fun...

  • I was section leader of the bassline from 1992-1994 & we also tried to perform with a full line.

    MVHS drumline kicks a**!!!!

  • lol someones dutting like duh duh duh.

  • 4 snare 5 bass 2 tenor haha top that

  • You have the same as my drumline! :D

  • 3 snare 1 tenor 4 bass

  • 2 snares, 2 basses, 1 tenor, and rarely a cymbal player! TOP THAT!!!

  • 2 snares, 1 bass, 1 cymbal, and no tenors! TOP THAT!

  • lol

  • 1 snare 1 tenor 2 bass

  • haha

    o yeaa??!

    how bout no drums huh?!!!

    TOP THAT!!!!!

    haha

    jk

  • nice job! hey bass five hit that thing harder!!! nice job though!!

my winter perc. is 2 tens. 4 snares and 4 bass!! i love it!!!!

  • 4 snares 4 basses, 1 tenor, and 2 cyms for us. smallest line we've ever had lol

  • your guys' line is topz but you guys need more snare.

  • Kick ass bass line!

  • where is this hs located at? el monte right? cuz i was searching for my hs drum line but that doesnt looks like my school colors.

  • your line is kinda small, my line is small we only got...5 bass, 6 snare, 3 tenors, and 3 cymbals... preety small but u sound good

  • Dude, 6-3-5-3 is pretty big for a high school. Mine is only 2-2-4, no cymbals by choice.

  • lol mine last year was 1-1-3, but not for winter drumline. we kicked ass with our small line though.

  • Ya they are pretty small, we have 7 snares 4 tens and 5 basses lol. good job tho, keep it up!

  • all the basses look kind of small, actually..

  • they are.

  • I think their drumline only consist of pure bass

The snares and quads really do not have any thing special being played

    Nothing hard

  • basses run after the tempo change=Sick

  • wow, looks like someone hired themself a seasoned instructor and arranger...very nice ...too bad there arent a few more snares and tenors to really fill out the sound and balance with the basses...but recorded indoors on basic audio/visual equip, its hard to tell...nice job.

  • that 5 bass is sorta small....

  • basses nice technigue but when it comes to marking time eshh.

  • woot! pearl drums!!! :D i think. i can't see

  • Basses have nice technique! They look sharp. Dont really like the whole drumline "dats" though. Sounds kindy cheesy. Besides that, not too bad...

  • your drumline sounds really good
