This is what HSV/Holden does best, is to give you the Best Bang for your Bucks. Although the GTS is now 10kws down compare to the GT-P but all these systems and updated interior proves that HSV makes much better all arounder cars.
Very true, but all this is possible via a cable and an iPhone using a Kiwi Wifi.. and it saves you having to spend an extra $10k on a GTS over a GT-P. Not saying its not good - definitely the onboard KW and NM reader (which is awesome - good on HSV!), but the problem I have with Holden is they think "bigger is better" - putting larger engines in cars. It wont be long until the 7L LS7 is standard on the HSV series, while I'll stick to a 5L GT-P and still leave the HSV behind.
@VangelonPanos Holden doesn't really have a choice of engine size. They source it from GM but what I want is for a car to have such a big displacement, it needs to have more power. Like the 6.2 AMG V8 (although they're 2 totally different engines). LS7 is too big. I wouldn't mind have the LS9 supercharged V8. All HSV needs to do is make sure they can put all the power down.
Totally agree, and to be honest, Holden have some great engines at their disposal - they're choosing to use them, in my mind, wrongly. Ford have Supercharged a classic 5.0L coyote engine; Natural Aspirated aren't always a good way to go - look at the Ford Turbo range; it leaves everything in the dust; thus, Ford stepped back and looked at their V8's and changed it for the better.. I think Holden need to do the same?
@VangelonPanos yeah, but I guess putting superchargers in their line-ups requires things to be re-tooled and they may not have the money to do it, besides, people tend to upgrade at aftermarket places like Walkinshaw Performance which makes HSV think whether supercharging it in-house is worth the trouble. I wish HSV/Holden can have ZF-6sp trans.
Well, it works fine in everything from 1400kg C6 Corvettes to 2700kg Suburbans and Yukon SUVs stateside. Most of the time, OE automatic transmission woes are in the software, not the transmission itself. That's on Holden engineers, not GM's trans.
That mode you said its "going a little crazy" is a mode where it cyclyes through G-force, over understeer and the ABS system.....

@YuppieGearhead Not in the HSV LS3 with when paired with L98 V8s, ppl complained the gear box suffered from "flaring" effect.
