this is your story, i don't understand how someone else could even begin to take credit for it. wouldn't a "special thanks to" credit be enough? if you don't actually care about the project, you don't deserve the credit. kind of makes me sick.
There's a difference between "direction" and "giving suggestions." It's your project, your creation. So they helped, whoop-dee-fucking-doo. That should be enough credit for them.
wow sour grapes. its pretty obvious who is responsible for the direction of the film. filmaking is a collaborative art and it seems a few of the collaborators got big heads. artists can be difficult indeed.
It would be pretty hard to really know what happened here, but at this point I hate half the people and dislike the whole ugly situation. It's all just more effin' DRAMA.
Welcome to the business. I work in Hollywood (unfortunately) and every director will tell you that the film is made in the editing room. You cut it, you pieced-the-narrative-together, you created it. You can manipulate an actors performance by the way you sequence the shots -- Kuleshov Effect. Any influence the actor has on set is great, but they only create a "performance". You created a "movie."
regardless of who gets credit for what, the message came across and it is real. It's easy to see that it comes from life experience and you can't plan out your own life...it just happens. That is clear, this cannot be a work of fiction because it is real and raw. And powerful.
Wow that was jsut really unprofessional of the actors.... So much of what these people say is a powerful metafore, iI don't belive they should use themas easily as they do, they reay use so much powerful words with so little meaning. You can say whatever you like but the words on that blog were true.
i am very sorry for what had happened a actually thought it was going to work out and well for the autobiographical question i think that it can be real if you just believe in it and if you see the movie Big Fish then you will get what I'm talking' about. Don't let those people dis-grade and pull down your pride. it stupid by what you cast and crew members were saying. I believe the movie was great!
In the end, what people should remember & realize is that the roles of both Director/Producer, in terms of feature filmmaking, are credits given to the key creative figures on the project. Truth of the matter is that the title of director & producer are the two crew roles who are fully involved in ALL 3 phases of the filmmaking process, (pre, principal & post), not just the filming (or helping out during a single phase of the process).
FUCKING CUNTS!!!!!! Im sorry but those fucking assholes all out to get their moment in the spot light. You should of had all the directing credits regardless if someone helped in a few scenes. That just irritated the SHIT out of me....i hope you guys are happy that you ruined my day now,haha....
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm pretty sure it's a story people need to see. Hell I think these vid podcasts are essential viewing. This is stuff that everyone is experiencing at some level. Paradoxically personal and universal.

Jesus.
You guys made the fuckin thing.
Those people shouldn't take credit for your life.
It was you who made this film, and really they should just be happy that they were any part of something so inspiring and beautiful.
