@Julian24151 They could've had Roberto Luongo (traded with Olli Jokinen to the Panthers for Oleg Kvasha and Mark Parrish), Dany Heatley (drafted second after DiPietro), Zdeno Chara, Jason Spezza (NYI traded away Chara and 2001 draft pick that became Spezza for Alexi Yashin), and Bryan Berard without getting his eye poked out (when he was on the Leafs after they traded him for Felix Potvin) this past decade. Mix that in with whatever else they had, and they would've been cup contenders.

I actually liked the Fog Horn from the fisherman era a lot. the current goal horn is alright, but the fog horn rocked. i wish they'd bring it back.

Actually, if you look up some of the Islanders 1993 home playoff games in which they score, you can hear what their siren sounded like then. That siren was then set off with the fog horn in 1995-96 and 1996-97. The air raid siren you hear in this one is the on they used I think around 1998-99 through 2000-01. The one they got now is from 2001-02.
