Sorry for the 2 week delay. The different needles have different angles indeed. When you use an embroidery programmed for the needles it will tell what need to put in to do the assigned angle.
What is the difference between the cutwork needles? I presume they cut in different directions? Or are they different weights for heavier fabric/vinyl?
