Anyway... Global dimming seems to work.

My lightmeter usually measure full sun to be EV 15.3.

But this year full sun ONLY measures EC 14.5.

So it seems that we have lost a half to a full stop of light... ???.

Anyone else with a lightmeter who can make the test... ???.

it seems that when it comes to scientific studies, critics come out of the woodwork to dispute the findings, and if there is any room for error or if the findings force some type of change from the norm, the findings are dismissed. Frankinal, the BBC documentary shows that the rate of global warming has been slowed by airborne particulate pollution, which causes the earth to reflect some of the sun's energy. This documentary does not deny global warming, it does just the opposite. It concludes that we are worse off than may of us think because global dimming has temporarily masked global warming. The science is excellent because the findings of independent researchers from different disciplines support the same conclusion.

@frankinal CO2 is now 397ppm, the particulates from burning along with the water vapor from burning and warming increase, blot out enough of the sun's energy to reduce yields 10% in many areas. Heat speeds up a plants metabolism (it respires faster). But light allows the plant to make ATP (energy) which is used for growth. so the plant needs both light and heat.

When Jerry Stanhill measured 'the Sun's radiation' he must only be covering a specific spectrum.

At present, there are more than 12 sunspots facing the Earth (we orbit the spinning sun in an unsyncronised fashion). Sun spots are extremely hot because they let out more Infra Red radiation than any other light frequency.

I don't trust science that referse to a drop of radiation from a fricken huge star as a drop in radiation overall.

As for Global Warming: it's happening, but it's not the CO2 doing it.

Think about it. 70% of the Earth's surface is water. We're a drinking glass.
