  • LL COOL J made him famous look at the music video im bad LL COOL J cut creator is in the video

  • This is a cool dude. He gave me his old dj interface and i thank him for that. Thats what got me djing

  • ThePigskinProwler - i feel ya im over people saying u aint a real dj with SSL get over it if u cant afford it then dont hate on it hahahahahh!

  • @djencore180 money is not the issue. I got over 10 grand worth of audio equipment that's just in my home ;new. Djing is an art. once you go pass using cds. it's not the same. I've gone to parties and if there was a request the Dj played it..if he had it. Today these guys go online and download it right there. Well the problem with this is that it mess up your set. The DJ's job is to let you know what's poppin', Not play the top 1000!!

  • @648tico...It called evolution! Still one of the Greats

  • @ThePigskinProwler yeah but it's cheating at the same time. The tech it cool but not the same

  • real DJs don't use macs and serato I can't believe he using them. after all these years.

  • @648tico I guess you still have a black & white tv and vcr?

  • @maccagrabme No I don't I have eqiupment you only see in movies, But letting a pc do the work for you is not the same as using you hand and head.. we counted beats not the pc

  • @648tico Well I can tell you that there is actually more work involved in using digital because people now expect you to be a lot more creative that when it was vinyl only. CutCreator was know for his cuts so I dont see it as cheating for scratch djs. It just means that the end result for the listener should be more interesting. Its almost like saying that a band that uses a multitrack is cheating when they should be playing live.

  • @maccagrabme If you're playing a live set then you're playing a live set. one wouldn't need a multi-track. Except in between sets. unless there is a particular sound the band is playing to. Now as for myself, I found it easier with the Serato than using three analog turntables and two cd turntables. This is more in reference to mixing

  • Respond to this video... I have them on vinyl.

  • @648tico so that makes you a real dj?

  • @648tico ok, so you do know Technics no longer makes turntables and it's almost impossible to find any music on actual records any more, right?

I'm not sure where this conception that using Serato/etc makes you not a real DJ. Go tell Jazzy Jeff he's not a real DJ, I'm sure he'll be heartbroken

  • @talltrini10 wow this argument is old. If you like them use it. That's probably the only ones most of the new (your) generation will know about. Oh and also.. Panasonic is still making them just certain ware discontinued. Don't forget cds so you can still DJ without serato. How do I know because I have both. Good luck to you
