  • Your video is very touching. ooh ooh just saw your traveling shoes update to my right, I'll check it out.. see ya

  • Oh yeah! They're in Germany right now with BattleFieldDoktor. He's such a great guy, and he has been a good friend to me.

    I love this place. :)

  • The Shoes arrived in Denmark today

  • Your such a cute lady....

  • You're very kind. Thank you. :)

  • Hehe such a good project. I hope all is well =)

I must have missed this video coz its like a year old :o

  • Oh my word! And I missed this comment! I was going through my email and realized I never answered this. I'm so sorry!!! Thank you for watching this vid. The shoes are in England now. It's amazing how many people took an interest in this! :)

  • Where are these shoes now?

  • They're in England. We're trying to keep them in one country at a time, to keep the cost of postage down, so they're being passed around in England right now. flydarling has them. :)

Thank you so much for subbing to me, by the way. I'm going to your channel right now.

  • People sure are more important than things or places or anything else.

  • Yes they are protester. If I didn't know that before I sent those shoes across the world, I know it now. :)

  • Betty...

I don't know if I count...but your video moved me to a tear *don't tell anyone*..but if its in the star's...I would love to be a part of the traveling shoes and the journey of them....

Biggest hugs with tissue in hand..

    Eric

  • Wow, Betty, you're taking a real big risk.

Those little shoes mean a lot to you.

  • Tom, I'll see them once again, as a participant just like everybody else (the list is still open, by the way), then I'll mail them on to the next person, and I imagine this will keep going. I won't see them again after that, but what I've gotten in return already is more than I've had in my life in some ways. :)

  • I'm happy you're having such a positive experience.

Those little shoes must be really tired by now, though. :-))

  • Those are the cutest shoes ever! I didn't realize how big your traveling shoes was... Awesome!!!!

  • I didn't realize this would take off the way it did, and I am so happy about it!!! You can do this too, if you want, and I'd certainly be honored. Perhaps a young lady very near you would like to participate too, inasmuch as I was just about her age when my Dad gave me those shoes. It's up to you, ZoeToots. Just let me know, though, and I'll gladly add your name. :)

  • She would love that! I didn't even think about that at all. What do I need to do? I'm in!

  • ZoeToots, you are SO on the list! I just added your name, so it's a done deal. I just don't know when because each person who has the shoes chooses the next person. They're pretty much staying in one country at a time to save people postage though, and right now they're in the UK with flydarling (Lesley). So, you should watch for her video about them. I'll let her know to add your name too. Yea! I'm glad you're doing this!!!

  • I'm excited..I'll check out her video when I get home! Thanks for adding my name!

  • Kalacaw,

Your father was a very wise man.

"The best way to destroy your enemies is to make them your friends"~ Abraham Lincoln.

  • Thomas, he did seem to know his way around people, but he had a kind heart, and wasn't given to hate. I didn't know Lincoln said that, so I learned something new today. :)

  • I will be following the shoes.. along with the barefoot troll :) who knows some day they may run into each other, you just never know.

  • Hey Nota! Wow, I am SO glad I happened upon this comment because I didn't get an email notification of it. I would love for the barefoot troll to cross paths and travel with the traveling shoes! Now, they are also your shoes, so you will not be barefoot, although barefoot is a good thing.

I heartily endorse barefoot. Ha! :D

  • Ben's troll feet wouldn't fit into your grandfathers charming shoes. :)

I do hope you check out his play list of videos when you have time.

its so neat that the shoes bring us all closer.

Thank you for sending out.. on their trip.

  • Trust is a wonderful thing, good luck with the journey and I hope you get your shoes back safe and sound one day.

  • Hi linnerdady! Thanks for coming by. I do trust this, and it's been a wonderful feeling to lean all the way back and be relaxed about what we're doing. :)

  • Following the shoes :)

  • Oh, me too Heidi. This has been a great adventure for all of us! I'm so happy that you're interested. Thanks! :)

  • Cute shoes! :)

It would be really sad if they were lost. :(

  • Hey, Ashley, thanks for coming! It would be, but (and thanks for the sub, by the way), each person is more important than the shoes. That's what must come out of this. It's a message about peace and caring for each other.

But, I'm hoping that the shoes will one day come back, of course. ;-)

  • I love this video, and I favorited it! :)

  • Hi Julie! You're very kind and I do appreciate the favorite! I just went to your profile, and saw that you were into the drums. That's pretty cool. I was always interested, but never tried to learn. I know the proper way to hold drumsticks and that's about it. HAHA! :D

  • WOW!!! I was looking through the featured vids, which is something I NEVER do, and what a shock to see this in the spotlight! Congrats, Kally! And thanks, YouTube, for bringing attention to this wonderful project!

    Moosie

  • That's what I say, Moosie! Thanks, You Tube! I said in this video that I was releasing the shoes into the care of the world. So far, the world is taking pretty good care of them. ;-)

  • And I see that some very positive support has turned up as a result of this. I assume they *did* reappear after that recent disappearing act.

  • Oh yes, everything is okay Moosie. I'm guessing that the holiday season and international mailing were both contributing factors; but the shoes turned up in Italy, and they're on their way to England now.

  • I was guessing, and hoping a lot. It's great to know!!

  • I so love your idea! Your glasses and hair are you and therefore lovely. It is odd that someone would take the time to write down an insult to you when you are doing such a wonderful thing. Please allow me to be a part of the "shoe journey".

  • Hi Helpmeregister! I don't know. They've got to say this stuff, I guess. HA! It's the hazard of being in the YT spotlight, but well worth it because of the more positive attention. To be honest, I'll happily put up with a thousand comments like that just to meet a genuine person like you who wants to participate. :)

  • . _ . dot-dot-dot.

^^ i know this may seem a little mean but please get a perm or your hair straightened. It-makes-you-lookie-crazy. And take off the glasses too, it also makes you look crazy.

  • I do agree.

  • ok???

  • wOW! I saw you on the front page :) congrats!

  • I am so flattered! This is important to me, so I'm glad. To be honest, I was hoping that this would somehow be featured since it's a message of peace. It also makes me wish I could go back to this video and fix my hair. HA!!! :D

  • Hello. I don't belive you have anyone from Israel on your list. How would the shoes like to visit a bit of the holy land? :)

I'm offering myself for the project.

  • Hi Petpatrol2! Yes, of course! My Dad would love to know that you want to be part of this, and I'll put your name on the list. I would love to visit Israel some day! :)

  • 对不起 看了你我会做噩梦的

  • I hereby, albeit noncommitally, acknowledge your comment. I'll trust that it's well-placed in a positive direction. :D

  • Please support independent musicians..

click, watch, comment, rate and subscribe

    Thanks!!!

  • I do and I am. My Grandfather, who carved the shoes which are the subject of this video, was a musician. :)

  • Fantastic!!! thank you :)

  • This is a very thoughtful project. Travelling shoes is an interesting title.

You're lucky it got featured to get you more exposure. If there's any more room on the project let me know.

  • I know you don't know this, but you are one of the people here who will always be in my heart no matter what. I know you had no way of knowing that. If you want to be on the list, nothing would make me happier. :)

  • what about Shelby Ohio?

  • Hi Celeste! Sure, Shelby Ohio sounds like a great place for the shoes to make a stop. I can add your name to the list. :)

  • I would LOVE to show the shoes around my town! I love this idea, it's amazing. The shoes are great, and cute. I live in ormond beach, FL.

  • I would LOVE for you to show the shoes around your town!!! I'll add your name to the list. I lived near Orlando about thirty years ago, but not for very long - just about four months. Thanks for watching! :)

  • no prob, can't wait!

  • i would love to have the shoes travel to pleasant hill california

  • Okay! They can certainly travel to Pleasant Hill. They used to live with me in SD, so they will love to see California again! I'll add your name to the list! :)

  • I want to participate, im from Quebec - Canada!!!!!!!

  • Hi kurlyk! Okay, you're on the list and I'm happy that you want to be part of the project! :)

  • you are wonderful.

  • AVDJ, you're very kind, and I think you must be wonderful too. Thanks for watching, and also for the subscription. :)

  • Hey your featured! Congrats!

  • I know! I can't believe it and this is so cool! I'm really glad our project is getting the press! :)

  • You are the coolest!

    i'm subbing! :-)

    xo,

    Corey

  • Hi Corey! If I'm the coolest, it's because cool people are subscribed to me. You're making me look cool - thanks! :D

  • Hey! I live in Columbia, SC. I think the little shoes would love to visit here!

  • I think they would too, especially since they spent most of their lives in Virginia! They always wanted to travel down South, so now is their big chance. I'll add your name to the list, if you want. :)

  • yes. please do.

  • How do I get the shoes?

  • Hi gekko13! I'll add your name to the list, if you want to participate. Each person who gets the shoes makes a video with the shoes, and draws the next name in a raffle. That's how the next person is chosen. :)

  • you are beautiful! i dont know what it is about you but u make me really happy. i would like to participate if at all possible, i think that this is an amazing idea!!! are you going to make a film abot it? I THINK THIS IS SO AWSOME! PLEASE LET ME IN ON THIS!

  • Hi Kat! I just answered your other message, and of course you can participate! I'll add your name to the list. I'm glad you want to do this with us! :D

  • cool

  • Hi Turgime! That seems to be the comment of the day, "cool!" I say it all the time myself. HA! Thanks for watching! :D

  • cool

  • Thanks! You're cool for watching! :)

  • KalaCawcCongrats on the Spotlight: Traveling Shoes Saga. I had found you via DebStef! Congrats again.

  • HI FUERNEISEN! Thanks so much for stopping by! I was excited to learn that the project had been spotlighted! Everyone associated with this deserves to be spotlighted! :)

  • I think you should make a donation to museum where your Grandfather lived, a story of his life.......

  • That is a marvelous idea! I was wondering about doing something like that myself. Maybe when the shoes come home, that's what I'll do with them, and all of the things in the package. :)

  • Omg I love this story, it's so sad and so lovely! It's such a good idea

  • Thanks! I'm happy in every way about it, though. My Dad would love what we're doing, and would love all of the people involved. :)

  • very cool stories. good idea. i don't know how safe i'd feel sending out something i love so much, but then again i really don't know much of my family's history, and don't really have any important family heirloomes (lol did i spell that right?). anyway, great video. this is the first time i've heard of this, so i'll go watch videos of people who've had the shoes now. :)

  • Ah, well I can help you spell heirloomes. "Stuff, stuff, and more stuff." See also, "Storage rental unit." That's how I spell it. HA! Let me say this, though. Friendships, and sometimes even just random contacts in life can become like family heirlooms. Think of the memorable people you've met just on You Tube, who will be in your heart forever. Those memories will become more important over time, and they will add to your joy. :)

  • lol thank you for the great reply. :) a lot of YouTubers don't answer their comments for some reason. I answer pretty much every one. haha yeah, i just like the idea of having things to remind me of those times, but... i have a decent memory :P, that should be good enough.

  • Hey this is a great story. Thanks for showing it to us :) I have my own sillier journey under my channel if you get the chance to see it.

  • I like you, you seem very sincere and likeable.

  • Thank you for thinking so. I think you're very nice for watching my video. Thanks!

  • You might feel like you are the "last one standing" but please consider us your tuberland family... Most excellent to make your acquaintance.... Pappy loves your video... "Stay Gold"

Feel free to hollar anytime you need support...

  • I certainly enjoyed reading your comment, and thank you for expressing such a kind sentiment. I think I probably do consider the world extended family, else I could not have released my Dad's shoes into its care. I'm very happy to meet you! Thank you again! :)

  • No, Thank you, Lass, for the sincere piece of you shared. I was compelled to make a video response; it is uploaded and encoding... I hope you like it...

  • Are you kidding? I loved it! When I first saw it, I didn't realize the vid was about me until I clicked on it. I didn't find it through my email, but as the next uploaded video on You Tube. I was so surprised! :D

  • Your vid belongs on the front page IMO

  • Actually, it's being spotlighted right now. I don't seem to be getting a lot of hits as a result, but keeping this to a small number is fine. Positive stuff will spiral out, I think. We may not see how or where in every instance, but it will happen. It has happened! :D

  • Hey! Great to see you in the spotlight spot, congrats from all of us at Hidden Track TV!

  • Thanks guys! I just realized what you meant! I didn't know that this video was in the spotlight! Thanks!

  • lol!

  • you got all the stuff baby lol :D

  • I don't know where I put some of it! :D

  • naturaly

  • inthespotlight youare!

  • inthespotlightiare? arei? whatever?

  • I got the same message from Hiddentrack12 before I knew what this meant! I'm so slow! Thanks for telling me Dan! :D

  • You are a STAR baby!

  • A meaningful journey for the shoes, but so much more for the souls of us who watch them travel. I think its beautiful, and found the story from LeSal - :D ill be watching them too!

  • Lesley is so dear to my heart, cooksterz. I have been personally touched many times as a result of this project, but it's about all of us. Thanks so much for expressing interst. I subbed back, especially after I read your profile. It really bugs me when people tap on fish tanks. :D

  • After watching LeSaMilano's vid, and now yours, I called up my Dad and told him how much he means to me and how he has taught me to love others with whom I share this world.

Such a great idea, these shoes, and their travels. Carvings of love, footprints of peace.

    :)

  • Thanks so much for watching! No comment could make me happier, Annie. I was so young when my Dad died. I wish I could speak with him again just once, but your comment has really touched my heart. Annie, may I quote you on my channel profile? It may spark others to do the same. :)

  • And your video has touched mine.

Wow, I've never been quoted; I'd be more than happy for you to share my thoughts with fellow YouTubers, if it will help spread the word of your wonderful project.

    Keep those shoes walking!

    :)

  • Thanks, Annie! :)

  • sweet words these are

  • I loved my Dad so much and my heart goes out to you. This is a beautiful idea and I'm glad that I watched Lesley's video. What a wonderful way to show your love and trust in mankind.

This is what YouTube is all about!

    Praying For Peace!

    ~Mimi

  • Hi Mimi! I was glad to see that another person had taken notice of this project! Bless your heart, and thank you so much for your subscription. I'm coming right over to your channel now. :)

  • bitch, aint you too old for youtube>?

  • aw you have a heart of gold, i must subscribe :)

  • Well, bless your heart. I didn't know this comment was sitting here. I don't seem to be getting all the email notifications so please forgive me! I just decided to see this video again, and that's how I found your comment - thank you!!!

  • He not only gave you the shoes BUT HE GAVE YOU THE COURAGE TO LET THEM GO .Funny how people miss the importent things.good luck to you i hope they return home safe.

  • Hi warboop! If you read my reply to Kmartian211, you'll see why I am so late in thanking you for watching this. I didn't know your comment was here! Thank you for the kind sentiment. I'm sorry my Dad didn't live long enough to enjoy You Tube and all the wonderful people I've met here. :)

  • Oh i heare ya the same thing happend to me with comments .Take care and hope your shoes are full of worldly friends and memories that never end.

  • great vid! my english is bad but what i have understand is great!

  • Thanks! I'm very happy this is working! I've also met wonderful people because of this, but it's the message of peace I want to share. The shoes are helping to do that! Your English is fine! My English is American - haha! :-)

  • hmmm it's a great idea... but it's too much responsibility to me :(

  • It is a big responsibility, but the message of peace is the most important thing. :-)

  • What a great idea, i wish the shoes a safe journey!

  • Your wish is very much appreciated! :-D

  • am I on the list and where are the shoes now?

  • You are on the list now. I thought you were before, but I just checked and added you. Sorry Josette! MrsAtomicUs5000 has them right now. The way it's working is by draw. The person who has the shoes draws for the next person to send them to. Everybody on the list will get them eventually.

  • so who do I give my address to?

  • Whenever your name is drawn, that's the person to give your address to. The next person who gets the shoes could be the one to draw your name out of the hat, or it might be five persons from now. It's a big waiting game! :-D

  • you are so lucky to have such a great dad.

  • Yeah, he was a pretty good guy. :-)

  • I want to participate! Sign me up! :)

  • You're on the list! Thanks for wanting to do this with us!

  • Of course i want to join, despite to my username. Gosh.. i really have to change it... but on the other hand.... the username is frequently used nowadays.. dilemma. :/ Anyway.. fun to join!!!

  • Oh, I wouldn't worry about that name so much. It's just a bit of sport, isn't it? I quite doubt that you'll be relegated to an unfortunate eternal disposition as a result. :-D

  • this is such a gr8 idea, i would love to add my name and support to it. they will be quite safe here in the UK for a while. regards, Rob

  • Hi Rob! I finally figured out the comment approval thing. It's not too hard, when one use's one's head for somehting besides a hatrack - ha! I still don't know how that got changed!!! Yes, of course you are on the list and we're all very happy to have you there! Thank you!

  • roflmao u make some funny stuff lol

  • dear tante Bette (now THAT sounds dutch!), It would be a pleasure and a honor to recieve and send the little shoes in and from Holland. If it's ok you can add my name to the list. thanks for the great international idea.

  • Oh wow, how much more appropriate can it be than for the shoes to go to Holland, to someone with your name? Wow, thanks so much. This is an honor and I'll add your name to the list. The name Tante Better was given to me by Juhler's children who are in the vid in my vlog. Thanks again!

  • thanks for your kind reply. my "name" is just to express my dutch-ness. in name is definitely a dutch origin, "tante" means "aunt". regards, Jeroen.

  • Well, bless you, Jeroen, and I happily celebrate your Dutch-ness! :-) Thanks also for telling me more about my new name!

  • Aww Kalacaw, I would love to be apart of the Travelling shoes. I too am in Australia like Nayomee, but I am in a different part and would love to take them on a little trip and make a video for you. :)

  • They would love to be in a vid with you! Okay, ThePurplePalace, you're on the list! Thank you!!!

  • You mite need to let me know when you need my address so I can give it to you, as I am not sure what I have put down on my account. :)

  • You don't have to give me your address, TPP. Whomever you choose to whom to mail the shoes next will be the person to get your address. I have to catch up on this now, and make sure everybody's name is on the list. I'm keeping the list updated, but I will arrange it so that when it's in the description section of this video, each subs country will be displayed too, so people can choose more easilly for mailing purposes. You're great, you know!

  • Would they like to visit Australia? or are they already comin over here? I'm not sure who i'd send them too. Do they get passed onto someone on the participating list of just to anyone u trust?

Also may have to wait a bit if i move from here soon, but dunno when that will be.

    Lotsa love XOXOX

  • Okay, here's the deal. I'm keeping a list, and I think that debstef (Stefan) is keeping a list too. I will add your name if you'd like, then someone can pick you to mail them to. Then, you pick from the list and mail them to that person. When you have the shoes, you make a vid with them before mailing them on. We can talk about this. I'd love for you to be part. love you!

  • Yep ok do it :) Add my name to the list and if i don't understand whats goin on i'll message u again.

    XOXOX

  • Okay, I already added your name anyway. I figured you'd want to do this. We've got plenty of time to figure it all out, but yes, you are absolutely on that list.

  • I've passed the video on to a few other people that have become friends on here too.

    Love u XOXOX

  • wow thats a really cool idea i would love to have those shoes for a day or 2 im i orangeville ontario send me a mesage if i can pertisapait

  • Of course you can participate, and the shoes told me they wanted to see Ontario anyway. Really. They did tell me that. :-) Your name is on the list now, with my gratitude.

  • you are amazing

  • You are very kind to say so. I consider that, being part of You Tube, I am amongst the most amazing people in the world.

  • I do believe we are kindred spirits, sister. :) I would love to be on the mailing list for those shoes.

  • My dear sister, you are in. :-)

  • wow that was very touching to watch. Believe me, I know how difficult it is to let things go. I admire your trust and faith to send those precious shoes out in the world knowing that you may never touch them again, yet as they travel they will now bring more joy and good will than grandpa would ever have imagined. I would be happy to be involved. I'm in California and could then forward it to my step-son in the Philippines who would be trustworthy to make a video and pass it on - Alan

  • Hi Alan, your kind comment touched my heart, and I would love for you and your son to participate. A cousin of mine was born and raised in Manila, so I'm sure she would have appreciated this too. Thank you for your kind thought. I'll add your name to the list. I miss California!!!

  • I will take your shoes to London on Zip's trip and mail them back.

  • You're a doll and I'd love that. There is no hurry at all for them to return, though. In fact, the more places they go, the more fun we'll have with this. Peace around the world! :-D

  • I have all the family stuff too. What a great idea, I hope they walk around the world more than once! Peace.

  • That would be great! I'd love to see them go around the world a couple of times. This is going to be a lot of fun.

  • did you send them??? Cause if not I'm help on this! and they will be in safe hands! I've got pretty much all my fathers and mother's belongings also!

  • I didn't get to this reply, did I? ACK! I'm sorry! Yes, you can play, of course! Listen, my Dad had a natural comedic bent, and would be very displeased with me if those shoes didn't find their way to your house. We'll just keep sending them to whomever wants to have them anyway, but I think you absolutely must have them.

  • kewl! You know something just by seeing those shoes, my father and yours would of gotten along very very well! Oh I'm tellin' ya 3stooges abbott and costelo etc. my father had a little tiny gun, metal dog(tiny tiny) tons and tons of stuff like that! I would be honored to receive them!

  • It has been written; it shall be done. Thou are looking more and more familiar with each passing day.

  • lol!

  • Oh my girl. Ya got me teary eyed!I've lost quite a bit myself both parents. So I'm right there with ya. Bunch of Hugs!!!!! Carole

  • I'm sorry you lost your parents too, Carole. Boy -- no guarentees in this life, eh? Thanks for watching this. I think a lot of you, so it means a lot.

  • well no there's no guarentee in life. and your welcome.

  • Just going into surgery now to have my feet reduced Wish me luck

  • Ha ha! I must be having a slow day. For a minute I thought you were serious. I was just about to say a prayer for you. I will anyway, since I always pray for my friends. :-)

  • WOW those shoes looked very cool!!! he did a great job carvin those!!! Damn how did your dad fit his feet in them??!! LOLOL I almost hate that I live so close to you!! LOL if you sent them to me they wouldnt have gone far!! LOL and dont forget how the mail system is!!! they're more likely to lose them than anyone! This idea is very cool!!! 5*'s and all my respect to your father!! ~HiGH HeaD JeSTeR~

  • General Lee could almost have worn them with a shoe size of 4 1/2. Can you believe that? Honey, you're not just close to me, you're kin. I knew it the day you ordered a Dr. Pepper, No. 6 and No. 8. Then, Jason and a bunch of us went out to rescue you from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We got lost on the AT, but we really meant to find you. A bear gave us the wrong directions.

  • LOL Hell I didnt know that everyone didnt have DR pepper till I made that vid! Yall have Sundrop up there? Its one of my favs!! Hope yall didnt get lost to bad out there!!! Damn bears... LOL
