Damn, it is good to remember when they were starting in Daytona Beach when we were all just kids. Gregg still rocks and that kid from Ga makes music just freaking "rock'. Peace, ya'll.
Georgian's were absolutely represented and won alot of the awards: Jennifer Nettles, Jason Aldean, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of Lady A. Thought they didn't win this beautiful redition of 'GEORGIA" by Zac Brown Band feat. the great Greg Allman and Luke Bryan. Don't forget the ones who didn't perform, Billy Currington and the one and only Alan Jackson! Please don't be upset or yell if I missed anyone, which I could have. LOVE YOU ALL, GEORGIA GIRL:)
They are a concept evolving band...this band has many aspects of Phish in their drive to be who they are in music...the best part is the world is embracing it...Zac Brown is going change and evolve music 4 years to come
@wthjrtx1 If any of you made it to Zac's inaugural Southern Ground Music and Food Festival in Charleston, SC last month, you could not help but agree. ZBB has not only picked up the torch, but lit fires under his fellow Southern Ground artists and shone the torch to call attention to bands as varied as Cornbread, My Morning Jacket, The Dirty Guv'nahs, Vintage Trouble, Brett Dinnen andThe Del McCoury Band & The Preservation Hall Jazz Band - and that's just part of that one long weekend's lineup!
spyder you are an idiot! gregg allman is one of the all time greats. you need to open up your mind a little bit and let some inteligence and mybe a little classs to seep in.
Spyyder, is one of those, who in the end doesnt really know anything about music, or the history, and if he did he would not write hateful stuff, you see them all the time hiding behind there walls sending, very un-mature stuff. if you like Zac Brown so much then leave his choices of musical friends alone.

so they just new orleans-jazzed up an overplayed, tired song that we should already be sick of being rehashed by everyone and his brother; i love the zac brown band, but would rather have heard something of their own instead of this classic (yes) but leftover (and boring) song; and Greg Allman-who cares, he's just another singer who used to be famous; Zac could have sung this with anyone, and it would have been the same bland crap.
@spyyder976 You clearly do not get the ZBB and their concept of evolving when it comes to music. You are constantly spitting hatred all over the place. You need to take some time to reflect. Music is one of the most beautiful things there is in my opinion and to spread evil when others are truly trying to share their passion is so messed up.
The New Kids on the Block (Yes Zach, that is you), get to sing and play with genius that is Greg Allman, who still sounds as good as ever, one of the best performances of the night last night. Clearly this is Emmy worthy come next years awards.
