if a lizard has the ability to regenerate its tail/when it breaks off whats in its genes , that in turn could be modified to enhance healthy cells to fight off cancer cells ? just asking !

why are not the cells of a cancer patient who is remission that is there cells at that time not used to decode why the remission took place in the first place they have to hold some clue , to why the cancer cells went dormant ? but we know yrs later they come back w/a vengence ! and then kill an spread like mad !

@flexbrat A cancer cell is a human cell, and so it has the same set of receptors on it's surface as every other cell in the patient. It's the control mechanisms for cell division that have gone out of whack. So, the big question is, with all the variations that could give rise to cancer, how do you attack it without damaging healthy cells? It's a question that still is difficult to answer clearly. If you induce apotosis, it could kill the patient.

the cancer cell must have a off/on switch somewhere ? insert the dormant gene of species who have the ability in their genes to be dormant ! and or to mutate to a non toxic level where they just die all together ! just asking ? ! how about a genes flower that has a 1 yr life span ? then its gone ?

Not only can we make insulin in bacterial cells for human use, we've improved it! The active site is still the same, but the amino acid sequence has been adjusted to make it less likely to clump up into hexamers. Very cool.and really simple to understand.
