And I'm not speaking for myself, nor I am criticizing her speech, I'm merely taking a stand for the fellow who couldn't differ them himself so...just wanna fuck shit up
The style and delivery of this poem are amazingly reminiscent of Dylan Thomas... is it an earlier poem of hers? Fascinating to hear her own voice coming through. She took what she needed from him and made it her own.
"ravening through the persistant bric-a-brac of blunt pencils, rose-sprigged coffee cup, postage stamps, stacked books, clamour and yelp, neighbor's cock crow;
all nature's prodigal back-talk. The vaunting mind snubs impromptu spiels (?) of wind, and wrestles to impose its own order on what is. Thanks for posting this. I've been a Sylvia fan for almost 40 years now, but until today never had the pleasure of hearing her read. Her delivery and intonation are fantastic! Thanks again for brightening my day.
@wsmith49 In case you like there is a book/cassette called Sylvia Speaks with her reciting a good few poems. Available on Amazon, very cheap too. good luck it is fantastic,
Your welcome. The words are hard to understand even if your fluent in English, but the flow of words is like Music. I can't wait to see what the dance would look like.
I understood the words perfectly fine.

"My tree stays tree." I love it! The frustration of reality. And "Gold leaf studded ditches." She had eyes like radar.
