This song is so beautiful my spirit and soul can barely be aware of my body when I listen. I enjoy watching videos, but only after having first adopted the song for my own interpretation and my relation to the song. Does anyone else out there understand what I mean? Or has the poetry of the song only given to the writers or singers interpretation which would mean I am invading their privacy. ?? "To Daddy" was my dream escape. I did not need a video. THANK YOU.

I know just what you mean. The song "This Sweet Old World" on Emmy's "Wrecking Ball" LP has very deep meaning to me. That song has become an expression of the loss I felt when my Sister was killed in a car wreck back in 1990. Every time I hear that song I still think of Her and how her life was cut short.

@RtImhere this amazing work of art was written by one Steve Earle. A busy past he had lived and as he says, this was the first song he wrote sober. That brings even more to the meaning od the lyrics. Incidently Emmylou performed an amazing duet with Steve on this song. Can't understand why the duet isn't available. Search a little you will not be disappointed.

I was watching my "Building the Wrecking Ball" dvd the other day and was shocked to realize no one had ripped the "music videos" included in the special onto YouTube, especially this one for "All My Tears". I guess my thought was heard!
