And as far as anyone commenting saying "do not get this surgery..." don't listen to them. I traveled from California to Minnesota with only the hopes of being a good candidate for this surgery. Anyone who comments on THIS video with anyone suggestion that this will be detrimental to one's health has obviously not experienced it for himself. I have tried pills, topical treatments, and acupuncture. My hands have not sweat in the three weeks (to this day) since my surgery. Dr. Atkinson changed my life.
I have severe Palmar/Plantar HH and moderate axillary HH. I have tried all the medical cures with little success. The last treatment i tried was botox in my hands and glycopurolate. After 5 months or so the glyco started to lose effect and the sweating returned. Is this procedure worth getting and is it truly different than ETS with all of it's side effects and horror stories?
@joshc11x I'm 15 and I've had the same thing since I was 5. I got the surgery 4 years ago, when I was 11. As long as you go to a doctor that knows what they're doing, it was EXTREMELY worth it. The sweating in my hands is not nearly as bad as they used to be. I get a little clammy sometimes, but it is bearable. My armpits don't sweat as much either, I use clinical strength deoderant. My feet, however, still sweat. I also have bearable compensatory sweating in my back, thighs, and stomach.
DO NOT GET ETS SURGERY. THE side effects will ruin your life. Do independent research on ets surgery. DON'T listen to a surgeon selling a surgery. THEY are 100% biased and will not be honest about REAL long term side effects.
