The original song, "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five came first, and was featured in GTA Vice City.

This song is Ice Cube's own remix of his song "Check Yo Self" which has a completely different backround track. He took the one from the message and put his own lyrics in :D thats how OGs do it
